Got me one some years ago for using my old manual lenses from analog times. I added two of these cheap fully manual lenses for mirrorless shooting from China. Photographing is big, big fun with this setup. The very early version of the nex3 doesn't offer focus peaking, but a firmware update will add this feature to it. Nice vid - thank you! 🙂

I had mine converted to IR. Only drawback is it has not viewfinder so difficult to view LCD in bright sunshine.

I have that same camera, and I've been using it when my Nikon D3300's lens broke in September 2022; however, it battery died a few months ago, so I've been thinking about either buying a new battery for that Sony or a new lens for my Nikon, but knowing that this Sony camera is older than the Nikon camera I have, there are limitations... anyway, glad to find someone who talked about this camera in recent years...

Yeah, the Sony is indeed a bit older than your D3300 and the D3300 will be able to produce better images with the newer, higher resolution sensor with more dynamic range. Furthermore, the D3300 will be better with autofocusing than the Sony as well. So in my opinion, getting a new lens for the D3300 might be better. However, the smaller size of the Sony camera also means lighter system for you take around thus being able to capture more images as you’re likely to take it out to take pictures more often with it. So I think it also depends on how you feel about the cameras as well. I thank you very much for watching, I wish you a great time, stay safe and have fun shooting ☺️☺️

I don't have a NEX 3 specifically, but I love my A5100 and with the Ttartisan 27mm AF, it's basically my getto GRIII

This is a great little fun camera. I have the NEX C3 and I use it either with the 16mm f/2.8 that it came with or even more often with my TTArtisan 35mm f/1.4. So much fun!

Thanks for the Video. I had this camera for 10 years but we always use our phones now because travel luggage is restricted in size now a days. That being said, I am traveling to Japan in 2 days and I was wondering if this camera the Sony- NEX-3 would be better than a Pixel 7 or IPhone 15? I will be travelling all over Japan, Kong Kong and Taiwan for the next month. Thanks!

If you don't edit and tweak your photos much, and just use for posting at social media.iphone will be almost better than these.especially when u just using kit lens.

Thank you for watching, if you are referring to the lenses mounted on the camera in the video, they were the Sony 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens and the vintage Minolta 50mm f/1.7 using an adapter. I've also used those two lenses for the sample images that was shown in the video as well. I hope that helps. I wish you a great time, stay safe and have fun shooting :-)
