I'm just happy to see Sony do a handheld again. Loved the PSP and Vita. Eventhough this isn't even really a handheld, probably, but it's close enough. Sony's making an eco system out of the PS5, and that's great

I personally have the Sony h9 headset. The bluetooth feature is very clutch because whenever someone calling you on your phone or notified your phone you will hear it and you can use the mic on the headset whenever someone calls you.

Just bought mine $220 set up was simple and played mw3 with no issues while my daughter watched ms Rachael on the big screen. Definitely a nice accessory to my ps5

Teh Portal selling point, afaict, is same tactility as the DualSense and a fairly large screen for a mobile player at a lower price than the SteamDeck. But there are other caveats, you need to: 1) not already have another handheld 2) only want to play PS5 games 3) have a really good connection wherever you are

Floss i took the portal to work with me the other day I tested the 5g network and I got believe it or not 600 down needles to say the portal worked flawlessly on the hotspot like I was home!!

SBC is trash on latency. AptX LL or AptX adaptive is necessary. That's why I use the Genki buds if I'm gaming wirelessly, despite the drawbacks they have

Love the dualsense edge and is worth the money for the fact that you can swap out the joysticks at anytime. $20 for new joysticks and don’t have to worry about buying a whole new controller.

I get that with the portal but I'm ok with a PS5 controller adapter to attach my phone to it. Portal does have a nice bigger display. Regardless I normally use remote play on my laptop.

Had tge portal since Dat 1. An amazing device. I have the H9s in white because it matches my dual sense edge. I wish the Inzone buds listed their correct release date. Now I won't get them since they are unavailable and I'm getting the sony explore buds instead.

I got lucky and got mine at Best Buy for 199. It seemed kind of gimmick at first, but I’ll tell you what being a nurse and having some downtime. This is definitely a major go in my book.

Owning a lot of physical games is the only other big drawback to the Portal. Gonna have to get up and manually swap discs in and out of your console. The Portal was made with digital libraries in mind.

For your bluetooth buds use a 3.5mm bluetooth adapter or buds like one you reviewed that has a 3.5 audio cable jack in the recharging case.

If you're a mostly solo gamer, best headset hands down to me are the Skullcandy Skull Crusher EVO (plugged in). That BASS is fandamntastic.!

One really cool thing you can do is with a Google pixel phone you can log into Wi-Fi with the phone and have your phone act as a router that way you can go click what ever you need to click on the browser to access their Wi-Fi and now your portal can use their wifi

As someone who owns the Inzones over the ear headphones be prepared for that headset to start falling apart after 4 months. The head cushion on the top part will inevitable rip and fall off it's a POS for build quality

Spatial Sound makes the volume very low and sound abit bad if you're listening to music .. soooo make sure to turn that off for music

Picked this up and set up my ps5 at my dad’s house which also happens to be in the town that I WORK in which is a little less than 2 HOURS from where I LIVE! Came back home with the portal and I am amazed at how well it works! Takes about 30 seconds to connect but it works just as good as if I was 3 feet away from my ps5! At first I was thinking it was a waste of money but now, nah! Worth EVERY PENNY!!

it's a good machine for what it's built for. if your a competitive trophy hunter and your on holiday or visiting family over christmas period etc. you can smash what you already have installed on your ps5 at home whilst being somewhere else. But i wouldn't compromise my enjoyment of a big budget triple a game by playing any amount of it on a tablet sized screen. but for a trophy hunter who routinely plays little indies it's perfect.

I love it! I don't like traveling with my PS5. I go to my gf house & connect to Wi-Fi, we both be chillin'. Only concerting thing is when that Wi-Fi ain't 100 it's going to lag. I also wish they would have made the joysticks exchangeable like the dual sense for stick drift reasons.

The connectivity is unreliable. That is my only issue with the Portal. I’ve learned new terms like port forwarding and mesh network trying to get a good connection. I assumed the issues with remote play would be fixed but it’s basically the same experience.

i have the edge an it is a super dope controller worth the money, my biggest flaw is if you play on PC instead of a play station youll have to download a 3rd party software to use the controller features an paddles.

I am very impatient lol so I also gave in and bought 1 on the secondary market lol I got mine from Stock X it should be in today. They had them for 300. But before hand I knew what I was getting myself into lol I got the Logitech G Cloud when it came out to remote play my Xbox Series S. Remote play systems are dope for lounge play. The only thing I set at my gaming desk for is FPS games CoD, Apex, Fortnite etc. But UFC 5, 2K, GTA, NFS etc I like to kick back and play away from the desk. I can't wait for the Fed Ex man to show up lol dope review the 1 thing u went over that alot of people don't talk about on reviews is that stick drift. That's the 1 thing I'm nervous about cause I have had ps5 controllers last a month to a year it's hit or miss idk y they r like that.

This may sound like a dumb question but if you plug in the ear buds to the ps5 and you are remote with the ps portal can you be across town and still hear the ear buds with the Portal? Does the portal know where the earbuds are at all times?
