@@Juanguar sigh...and I for one am freaking tired of people diggin that one up..its been more than 20..... freaking. ....years! Just give it a damn rest! On top of it all most of ppl behind Rare's success in N64 days left the company BEFORE Microsoft acquired them. So the people behind their earlier success werent even there anymore when MS acquired them. Yes Microsoft did missmanage them however during Kinect era when they forced Rare to do Kinect games and also focus on that Xbox avatar thing, but even that is well in the past now, MS gave them full freedom afterwards, which then turned out quite well for Rare as they managed to create Sea of Thieves as by far their most succesfull game ever, even if it did have rough start. Honestly, Microsoft has such huge pressure to succeed with Xbox and Gamepass that they didnt pay 69 million for Activision-Blizzard just to screw and missmanage Blizzard Entertainment even more badly than Activision-Blizzard and Bobby Kotick did. You would have to break the world record of screwing things up in order for that to happen. SO ANYTHING is better than how it was before this day, atleast now there is hope for Blizzard Entertainment.

I mean its Skyrim. 76 has improve for whatever its worth, folks are giving another chance on PC and Console. Starfield is polarizing, some love it some don't. They need to fix it on PC and continue to update it. It's #1 on Xbox beating out Fortnite, CoD MW22, Minecraft & GTA5. That say a lot. The potential is there. Bethesda will be fine!

And if things had stayed as they were, its likely that for example problems at Blizzard Entertainment would have continued to grow...now however there is hope things there would actually get better and one concrete example of that is that already Chris Metzen (original lore writer/world builder and one of key creators of Warcraft and Starcraft) returned to Blizzard to take charge of the entire Warcraft franchise. This actually gives hope that we might get Warcraft IV and Starcraft III and that they might actually turn out to be good and that Blizzard Entertainment would again have the kind of status that they used to have among game developers

The amount Microsoft payed to aquire Activision-Blizzard is not the real total investment. The real amount is huge. All the gaming ips and development teams need serious overhaul and management changes. If they will not succeed Microsoft is doomed because they just invested a tremendous amount of money and they will continue to do so. Just alone Gamepass isn't enough future profit as Microsoft thinks it is

Never got to play [PROTOTYPE] 1(Only had a PS3 at the time), but [PROTOTYPE] 2 holds a special, special place in my heart. It was Xbox’s version of INFAMOUS 1 for me, and I sunk an unthinkable amount just free roaming. The story was better in infamous, but nothing beats the free roaming absolute madness sandbox that [PROTOTYPE] offered. Such a slept on gem, and I can’t even imagine how sick it can be with modern hardware!
