curious to know whether you managed to mount the RX0 into that Feiyu G5 gimbal with longer screws.

+lukits01 it should absolutely be feasible as the camera fits inside of the feiyu’s mount, however I returned the rx0 pretty quick as it and I were having a serious difference of opinions. Namely overheating. Thanks for the comment! 😁👍

actually the hero session is the smallest and you could get the new fusion by go pro + it does 5.2 k

I was thinking "that might be a good camera to mount to my screamer drone" then I think I stopped breathing when I heard the price tag! I think you can get it to work, if you use your 3d printer to make an extension/adapter.

you know, i'm intrigued by this camera. it looks like an action camera. but sony will tell you it's not an action camera. i can't figure out what i'd use it for

+kofuzi I was intrigued by it too, which is why I bought it but I’m convinced it’s not for me. It’s for people that need a production tool and can afford all of the accessories for it. Also I was experiencing overheating issues just having it charging or using 1080p.

The Everyday Dad good to know! I’m disappointed that it’s not working out. I love the idea of a beefed up GoPro or a GoPro that is a little more camera but still a little bit action.

It's the freegin Zeiss lens that makes it expensive. If they use Sony lens it be worth $100.

I wanted a true 4K video cam so I bought the Sony FDR AX100. Reason I bought it is because it has a Zeiss lens on it and not a Sony lens.

I use it to do a lot of Telecine (16mm, 8mm/Super8) film transfer to digital. 4K is much sharper than 1080p. But more time consuming to format to a 4K than 1080p during post production using Adobe Premiere.

+GetOutTheHouseGoFish yeah I could probably create something to make it work... but I don’t know if it’s worth the effort. The more I use this camera the more I don’t think it’s for me. It’s for professionals that want tiny throw away cameras or something similar. I don’t think I’m even going to keep it long enough to review it since I really want a good second camera and this one is doing it for me.

Poor battery time and just 1080p camera.i have a yi4k+ amazing 4k videoquality and 1:30 battery time.Sory sony i will pay only 300$ for this..

I really like the fact that this camara can be synced with 5 devices. Unfortunately, I do believe that it is too expensive and the User Interface is not impressive enough. Sony always has good hardware but bad UI. As the mater fact, they Yi4k + has a better value.

I agree that the camera sync is a pretty awesome feature (not one that I would ever use as I'd never actually have 5 but cool). And the more I use it the more I feel confirmed in that this is not a consumer camera in the slightest. It's fully for professionals that have the resources to kit it out and not use it by itself. It's not an action cam. It seems that this is a "crash cam". If the shot you wan't requires placing camera in confined space where your Alexa won't fit or there is high risk that your Red would be destroyed you pull out something like this out of your bag. It has large sensor so files from it are closer to big camera files than movies from an action cam. Log profile helps to blend material better with big cam files. It has accessories like lens hood which is impossible for any action cam and many other accessories that point out that this may been designed with crash cam use in mind.

I completely agree, this is definitely not really designed for the consumer in mind. The accessories are too expensive and its such a specialized piece of gear that its hard for regular people to be able to take advantage of it. Thanks for the comment!

+Fred J Pearce this isn’t a hard decision, I would recommend against it unless you need a very very specific piece of equipment. I’m actually returning mine for overheating issues.

I think it’ll do awesome things for professionals that need little cameras to fit in places but I’m not sure how much I’ll be able to get out of it.
