Have you tried Ricoh? You should. I returned my RX100 as I wasn't at all impressed with the stills image quality. I'm so glad I decided to give the Ricoh GR a try. It's a fantastic, no-nonsense photographic tool! Tiny camera, HUGE sensor and an amazingly sharp prime lens. I have a D7200 to cover all other focal lengths, but I find myself grabbing the Ricoh 90% of the time and just working with the Ricoh's 28, 35 & 47mm prime and crop lengths. I've owned dozens of cameras over the past 30 years, and the GR is one of those rare cameras that I just can't put down! It goes everywhere with me :)

might be a better idea to divide the review into 2, comparing to cameras in each

If you had to pick one, which one would it be?

+Curtis Moore No simple answer for that question - if I needed a camera to fit in my pocket, I'd take the RX100. If not, then the A6000 is a one hell of a camera (now being replaced by the A6300). I actually made my personal choice and bought the Lumix LX100.
