Astro bots dlc, Some beloved classics remastered, Gameplay for many games, Alan Wake dlc, Dynasty warriors, VR2 titles,Stellar blade / Nier collab, many more things and Ghost of Yotei? I think it's the internet that is bad or they just want the games they like cuz this State of play was pretty awesome for me. I guess if you were looking for reasons to buy PS5 in this whole show but I think they only need to advertise that just in one small segment.

@@JasonScalici you so clearly know it's not one game, though. it's only one game if you ignore the fact that astro bot came out only 2 weeks ago. or that death stranding 2 is still happening. or that this was the year of Helldivers 2 and Stellar Blade, both 1st party console exclusives. they could be doing more, but we knew there weren't going to be any major releases before march 2025. really doubt that ghost would be the only game Sony publishes in 2025, even ignoring death stranding.

The protagonist's name is Atsu. He reveals that Atsu's journey takes place in 1603, more than 300 years after the events of Ghost of Tsushima. Our story takes place in the lands surrounding Mount Yōtei, a towering peak in the heart of Ezo, a region of Japan known today as Hokkaido. By 1603, this region was outside of Japan's rule and filled with sprawling grasslands, snow-covered tundras, and unexpected dangers. I think again peoples expectations are a little too high... it was a solid 8/10... got a handful of things for me Astro DLC/Lunar Collection/Horizon upgrade/Legacy of Kain/Alan Wake DLC/Ghost 2 and some other things looked cool like Monster Hunter... i was expecting one of the insomniac projects to show up but i'm so backlogged right now I need a breather on releases next year

The game will give all the context you need, but knowing what happened in Blood Omen will give you some more background. I didn't know it existed when I first played SR1 and everything made sense.

Soul Reaver is part of a larger Legacy of Kain world, but starting from Soul Reaver 1 doesn't require knowledge of the prior games to be able to enjoy the game or story in these two games.

for dragon age, blighted dragons are super rare. In universe, there was a recent blighted dragon that was slain before Veilguard, so another 1 so soon would be even more rare let alone 2.

Zero Dawn Remastered is dope for me cause it's only 10 bucks for the mocap and fidelity upgrade. Really trepidatious at first, but it's something that'll get me to both play again and get Forbidden West.

hyped for Yotei, defo day 1 on PC and don't mind waiting with so many games releasing lol. I replayed both Horizon games back to back recently and there's defo a big fidelity jump between them (despite ZD still holding up well), so i'll pick up the upgrade on PC for 10 bucks, especially if it has all the QoL from FW (infinite stash etc.). It would be a hard day 1 sell without an upgrade path tho, so very glad it exists. Wonder if the trilogy finale is late 2026 if they're doing this remaster. That'd be awesome, tho 2027 is probably more realistic.

Remastering games that still look and run well on current gen consoles and PC is shitty. It reinforces this idea that games become unplayable the moment the graphics slides off even a bit from the endless race for fidelity

I think that problem will resolve itself. Fidelity has plateaued. Average people are realizing they can't see a difference in comparisons anymore. The sentiment is shifting, and fidelity is starting to feel like a niche for hardcore enthusiasts. Not yet, but starting to.

Ghost of Tsushima takes place in 1274 Ghost of Yotei takes place in 1603 That's a 329 year difference, so obviously that's not Jin...plus it's a woman lol.
