Sony Smart TV No Display Red LED Blinking Issue Fixed

This KD-60X6700E smart tv had no display and there was a quickly flashing sony logo when I keep the TV in a dark room (If not it is very difficult to see). The standby LED was flashing 6 times in red color after flashing the logo.
The issue was that two LEDs are weak in the backlight LED array. They were emitting little blue color light and all other LEDs were emitting white color. Then I replaced those two bad LEDs and the issue was fixed.
When LEDs are getting old some LEDs starting blue light emitting and we can see them as blue light spots on the screen in some TVs (Specially in old Samsung tvs). But this Sony Tv detects it as a fault and completely turn off the tv by it self as a result of the error detection circuit.
KEEP IN MIND TO REPLACE ALL BLUE LIGHT EMITTING LEDS AS DEFECTIVE, WHEN YOU CHECK THE BACKLIGHT LEDS.

that was an excellent repair video, thanks for sharing. 1. Was it easy to remove the panel to access the LED strips 2. curious if the multi meter displayed a different forward voltage for good (white) LED's verses bad (blue) LEDs. Looks like I have no choice but to pull my panel apart.

Some additional info that maybe useful to others. I discovered one LED was 'blue' and bypassed as per suggestion in video. Still would not turn on. bypassed another at random, and still would not not turn on. Added 10ohm resistor in series and it turned on - OK. Removed 10ohm resistor - still turns on - OK (I have been repeatedly testing but still OK) Here are some measurements with 2 LEDs bypassed and a variable resistor in series with the LED string Ohms I(LED string curr) Vc(compliance voltage) Vr(Voltage across the series resistor) Ohm mA Vc Vr 0 530 159 0 1.87 532 160 1 9.42 530.5 163.2 5 18.9 527 168 10 28.5 525.6 172.3 15 38.1 524 177.2 20 47.8 523 182.5 25 Update with 2 LEDs un-bypassed Vc = 165.3V I ~ 540mA and volt drop across the blue LED was approx 3.0v similar to the others

It seems that it is LED issue. Just replace all the led strips and see.. The LED issue is a common issue in this model..
