Sony SRS-XB41 Review: A Speaker for Party People

I disliked cause I own an XB41(for almost 3 months) and I didn't like the score u gave for sound quality. It sounds awesome. If you're someone like who make trips and is a big fan of psychedelic trance, this is the one for u. Battery life is superb. Even with the trippy lights on, it lasted more than 10hrs(tested discontinously, cause I need to sleep) on max sound. Battery performance and sound quality hasn't changed till now. Go for it. LDAC? u wouldn't even find a difference.

These are on sale at Bestbuy for $150. Was planning on saving up. Or just waiting for my Beats Pill+ to die and buying this guy. But when I saw the sale price. I had to buy it. Good choice. Definitely wouldn’t be worth $250 though.

Listening to this on a refurbished xb41 from Amazon for 109 bucks working great! Don't have android 8.0 though so don't use the live app but not needed at all! Sounds good not as good as my soundbar but great for portable :)

Got two from Amazon refurbished. One black, the other blue. The blue is nicer looking. Paid 99 for the black one. The blue was 109 with overnight delivery. I haven’t added them yet to play as stereo left/right because the blue arrived today and it’s charging. I really don’t find the sound to be that good, but for listening to music while I was car or work in patio, it is acceptable. I have a lot of high-end gear so I’m spoiled.

I really like the XB41 the live does not sound too good at high volumes but low I think it's ok it helps to push the sound out around the room which gives you a good soundstage which is normally hard to achieve at low volume...also I use my 41 for gaming, for Vita and Switch and in live mode it sounds very open its amazing you can hear every detail in the sound.

@@nodrama490 no it's perfect I never have any problems with latency it is sometimes hooked up to my TV for movies just into the headphone socket sound amazing with the xtra base on and I have headphone output level on TV so easy to control volume. Also it connects to Bluetooth straight away...

steve guest I’ve just purchased and very happy with it , you are right there is no latency and connects to blue tooth straight away. I love that there is an equalizer. For the Switch did you buy a bluetooth transmitter?

@@nodrama490 yes you need to buy one unfortunately why Nintendo didn't include Bluetooth is a mystery I have a PS Vita and that has Bluetooth, just plug it into the audio out on top of the switch and pair and the sound is amazing with the Xb41 especially in the live mode..I have an XB40 which is connected to my TV via the headphone socket and that sounds good too wirh the XB on for movies hope this helps.

For me the 41 is best it has more warmth and a richness to the sound the 31 was too bright sounding I have a 40 too but that is a bit boxy sounding....if you like quite music the 41 is good too you still get a bit of warm bass...

Alex H Real strong bass. I have the X55 and the bass is punchier and louder on the XB31. Hope that helps for a reference point.

Yes. Your transfer rate will technically be lower, but maybe not necessarily noticable. I suggest reading the linked article in the description about codecs. Hope this helps! 😁👍

The Sony xb41 is not a good speaker for outdoors as far as sound. The bass has no punch and because this speaker lacks tweeters, there is both no crisp highs, clear mid range, and there is no openness to the sound. A big issue is battery. Let us be clear, when the unit is plugged into AC power, the unit still uses battery power which negates the plug in option. All it does is charge the battery when the unit is off. This speaker is not loud outdoors. The bass is non-existent and sounds a bit thin. The Sony xb41 is not worth $250.
