I bought the XB43 1 week before Christmas for $199. I have no regrets. Owned a dozen portable speakers prior this one(including SRS XB33). The XB43 is by far the best Bluetooth speaker I've ever owned. Sound quality is crisp and life like, bass is deep & punchy, light effects are cool, water proof, battery last 8hrs at 100% volume(with extra bass active), USB output for device charging, and I can charge the speaker via my e-bike battery. My friend has a BUGANI M83 and it doesn't compare. XB43 outperforms in every way, and.. the M83 looks dumb.

I have the XB 33 and with the GOODEV Volume Booster App, along with the Music Center settings, and your phone's sound settings, it's a very great quality sound speaker, especially with the volume turned up. On my phone, I don't use the surround sound, but I have a side to side settings where the music has more dynamic sound and the bass thumps through the radials. If your phone has a stereo sound setting, use it. The price also has to do with the durability of the speaker and materials. You get water on it, game over. That $70 or $90 price becomes $0. With the Sony, get water on it and still sell it for $140. If you tweak the sound to the fullest, it has great quality sound at the highest level with the settings. Great to carry to work and not worry about damaging it. I'm thinking about getting the XB 43 also. Don't forget that the Live Mode give that dynamic sound also.

Little misleading as I'm sure the build quality of the other speaker is completely lackluster in comparison to the Sony.... The lights are awesome, the app is nice, can turn up bass, mids and highs. Water proofing, USB-C charging, the sound is wayyyyyyyy cleaner than the other speaker. The Bass is absolutely shit dude no offense. It's pumping out air, it's distorted as all hell, yes it's cheap. But that's why it's cheap. It does nothing exceptional, it's average. The Sony is clean, better build, app, eq, USBC charging, will get updated later for better sound and other tweeks. It's a lot of money yes I agree, but I'd rather spend on something that does pretty much everything perfectly then a cheap speaker that sounds like a distorted mess. Nothing sounds great out of the other speaker. $200 is realistic price over $250. $100????? You're dreaming mate 😂😂😂 The Anker soundcore motion plus is that price and it is good, it still has issues... 200 is worth it for the speaker easy...

JBL Xtreme2 sounds much better and louder (Sony was "compressed" and flat, while JBL sounded "open" with pleasant bass), at least on demo stands in store. It is also more portable due to weight and belt, plus slightly cheaper (185 EUR for Xtreme2 vs 195 EUR for XB43).

So I’m watching this review because I got one for free. At Best Buy right now they are selling the LG soundbar for $279 and you get a $150 gift card with purchase, and I used it to get this speaker. Think I paid like 10 bucks in tax. I’m an audio engineer by trade, so I’m used to $60k setups all day. I never even mess around with these little Bluetooth speakers, generally I can’t stand the sound. However, I wanted something I can bring on my little jon boat for fishing on the lake. Best Buy had all the Bluetooth speakers set up to try on a little display board so I checked them out. Listen, it’s not pristine audio. It sounds like Sony, which isn’t a compliment. However, for $150, it’s really not bad! To my ear, it sounds like the first generation Bose Wave from the early 2000’s. Lots of fake bass, but c’mon, who really thought you’d get chest thumps in this small a package. DB output is actually impressive before hitting distortion, and in the video I can hear the cheaper model distorting where as the Sony simply doesn’t. If you know what you’re doing in the app, it’s actually just good enough to tune a small room. Not for nothing, I think it’s a decent travel speaker. Tech has really come a long way.

Your mic does not pick up bass response well. The only thing this video demonstrates is clarity and volume, which IS helpful. But I know for a fact that the XB43 has some fairly decent bass, Im sure the Bugani also has alot more than I was hearing. If you get even a cheaper high end mic. your increased views will pay for it over time. Just a thought. Well presented otherwise. I already know I like the XB43 and was at first thinking it was just a poor choice of music. Then I realized, it likely was the mic. What I really was curious about was the Bugani since I haven't heard of it and it has a nice design and you say it is affordable. It would be nice to actually hear what it sounds like. I didn't think this was even possible in the past, but many reviewers are now using binaural mic.s that are amazing in their ability to really get close to the the in your face quality of being there. Picked it up for $148 at BestBuy which I thought was a good deal. It's a big upgrade in sound from the $40 speakers I usually buy. I'm not a big speaker type of person as I'm more into headphones. I've had the Sony WH-1000MX2 since launch and they've been going strong. Sony does not disappoint in the audio department with these two products in my opinion.
