@tylerglass100 yes... but dont reproduce anything below 35hz... the cones are just not big enough... but they're good for punchy bass, or as sattellite floorstanders for a home thatre system.. that's what they're made for.....
@CarMake13 жыл бұрын
@tylerglass100 yer thats more than enough power... these are 180rms each, so youve still got 140w to play with...
@CarMake12 жыл бұрын
that amp was about 40w @ full volume and @ 8ohms, these speakers are used as suround speakers to a 7.1 channel home receiver now (been replaced by two home built MTX towers), they're on 200w now...... they sound much better lol

@NCorrigan2014 yer i know..my simple solution was to: go down to a car audio shop. buy a relatively cheap (£40) 6x9" car door speaker, take ou the two top speakers (mid range and tweeter), cut an oval shaped hole using the template provided by the car speaker covering the mid and tweeter holes, then wire the speaker in whatever way you want, keeping in mind the two woofers are 15ohms each, screw in the speaker and enjoy!! if you want to do this and need help on the wiring just message me again:)

@Ahmedtalib1 yes... but not too good on quality.. however these are e=very good for budget... if you could spend about £/$40 more on floor standers, then i would and get some missions.. or spend £80 and get the mission MV8s... they are amazing!!!!

@NCorrigan2014 the only problem really with a powerful car subwoofer is you have to buy the speaker, and then buy a power supply, wires (they're suprisingly expensive) and get a car amplifier too... if, like you said, you just want to get a low powered subwoofer, then yes! i would reccommend that.. one for about £40, or 2 for like £25.. thats fine, and then build a box out of some wood left over in the garage.. thats what i did for my first sub, but for the kicker i made a propper enclosure..
@CarMake13 жыл бұрын
Yes they do have covers... Look at my later videos... I have the covers on with them i think
@CarMake13 жыл бұрын
lol guys this is an extremely old setup....... look at my newer videos with the 2000w subwoofer in the corner..... and ive updated these speakers, theyre now 1800w max, 260w rms, each LOL but yer.... and these speakers are ok, but the crossovers they use wer around in caveman times lol... so thts why i replaced most of the speakers with car speakers.... when you buy a car speaker you pay solely for the speaker.... when you buy floorstanders/ home audio equiptment you pay for the brand name
@CarMake13 жыл бұрын
@MiniMee134 about 8cm, but they're not connected in this video, so the only treble and mids are coming from the shitty sattelite speakers
@MindsetMasteryTrading13 жыл бұрын
@XTR3MEBASS15 its ok! now one more thing. Can i buy a car subwoofer and make or buy an enclosure and will it work like an home theater one would?
@CarMake13 жыл бұрын
@X5ALTX lol, yes.... you need an amplifier..... you cant just play it off of your ipod lol
@CarMake13 жыл бұрын
and i had them on a 7.1 channel sony amp too, but it still wants to make that noise, so i replaced them with a sony 6x9" car speaker, bu then those tweeters and mids made a fuzzy noise, much les of a fuzzy noise but still audiable... they dont really make these speakers anymore, i couldnt find them anywhere 2 years ago and got what seemed to be the las one in the world lol... i would recommend making your own floorstanders and buying car speakers for them... so much more value for money...
@MindsetMasteryTrading13 жыл бұрын
@XTR3MEBASS15 no need for 2000w, haha. But a nice clean pounding sub. i was actually thinking about just getting some regular woofers and making or buying an enclosure and wiring them myself because my dad knows how to do that kind of stuff...
@MindsetMasteryTrading13 жыл бұрын
@XTR3MEBASS15 thanks bro! they may be a little risky for me considering im not a tech genius. but i think they only distort for a little while afterwards. And i was thinking a bout buying a relatively cheap and decent sub, do you have a any ideas? thanks again!
@CarMake13 жыл бұрын
and the sound quality is amazing.... or if you just want to buy a pair of ready to go high quality floor standers, then go with mission.... they are the best at this kind of thing... look at their mv-8 floorstanders... they're a bit more expensive than these, but really worth it.....
@CarMake13 жыл бұрын
@xedasxedas i agree.. they are budget speakers... but they are good budget speakers... that why i now buy 6x9" car speakers because you pay for the speakers, and not the brand name or mahogony enclosure... but yer these are cheap so they dont have anything particularly expensive.... but for £140 you could buy two really nice pairs of car speakers that hav 5 times as much power, and sound soooo much better... so i agree
@CarMake12 жыл бұрын
in this video, i am Using a Sony DAVDZ260, i got for about £200 with all of the satellite speakers and tiny sub etc. my Later amplifier is a Sony DA2400ES i got in the Sony sale about 3 years ago, for £280 (half price) that runs in at about 1400w total (excl. my sub) I suggest for your floorstanders a 2.1 channel amp... dusnt really matter about brand coz they're all made in the same factory in china using the same technology; get one from Amazon for about £130 that is around 100w RMS @ 8ohms.
@MrDraylove12 жыл бұрын
ahhhhh !!!!! thats funny as hell!!! i got those same speakers
@CarMake13 жыл бұрын
@NCorrigan2014 yes.. that's wat i did... look at my other videos!! i even have videos of the very first sub i did that with.... but that was really cheap and i didn't even need a car amplifier for it.. if you like a lot of bass and have about £500 to spend, then yea.. but if you just want to watch tv/ movies, listen to a bit of music, then having a car subwoofer is extremely impractical and a standard home theatre sub would probably be prefferred due to the cost difference...
@jdog89319 жыл бұрын
hey i just got some of these but don't know how to make them work ( i know nothing of electronics) so what would i need to buy to make them work? just an ampkifier? and what kind of amp and wires?

@joey5731 no... why?? that's what it sounds like with an expensive camera and some reasonably cheap floor standers

@XTR3MEBASS15 Sony gave up in terms of home speakers separates...in terms of car audio...they rock (i love them too)...they invest in the development of new speakers, new materials, etc... For home-cinema (separates...not all-in-a-box) they just cant handle the competition (wharfedale, jamo, etc). The extra 30 $/euros/pounds for this brand's cheapest floorstands models totally worth it.
@CarMake13 жыл бұрын
yer these speakers are good, but after having them about 3 months, i noticed that if you play, relatively bassy songs on them, the tweeter and high mid speakers start making a fuzzing noise, which is really annoying..... the speakers themselves are great, and really high quality, but its just sony's really bad crossover network that make that happen... it just seems to be sony as i have 2 vibe 6x9" speakers and they have a different crossover, and the'yre amazing quality with no fuzzing....

@NCorrigan2014 aha, you dont really need to be a tech genius!! but a good sub for a home theatre system (judging by the floor standers i dont suppose you want a 2000w car subwoofer?? no?? lol.. anyway a good sub will cost you around about £100..good makes include: sony, wharfedale, mission, all of them are pretty good.. value for money - probably sony, good quality sub - wharefedale,the best -mission:
