Sony seems to be phasing out PlayMemories apps from their newer Alpha cameras but it's a shame because there are a few useful ones like this one. I found the BGM very distracting. I tend to not be able to focus fully when other sounds occur. It's like two people talking at the same time with different stories. Interesting tutorial.

One poor thing is that you can review/preview only last frame (picture) you take... It really sucks because you can not check if the movement is ok...

You can preview the movement by pressing the play button on your camera and then pressing the middle button to play a cycle through the frames. It doesn't play them back 24/25/30fps but it gives you an idea. Unfortunately you do have to "end shooting" to do this but that doesn't really matter if you're putting it all together in post. Right, but this give you only an "after preview" and you can not edit the frames... So you have to be quite advanced in shooting and exactly know e.g. how to animate a lego figure walking or a few figures in movement at the same time... :) It is quite hard without any preview. It probably needs much stronger processor and a camera does not have such.

yeah, I don't get that either! Ok, if you're using the function in the app which produces a video, then you don't have to do it in post. However, how he does it in this video it's actually the same as taking normal photos without an app.

The main thing is the app has a ghost of the previous image, so you can see how you want to move the object in the following shot

How do I import AVCHD files to my 2018 iPad?

You need to change them by adding an extra 000 to them to make them 8 numbers ~ like 10001 to 10000001 (I forget what the files look like) then move them to the photo folder(you need to take at lest one photo) , the iPad will then see them .
