ive owned the xb900s and im currently watching these with the xb910s, the features the XM has that the XB doesnt was pretty menial to me and as someone whom appreciates bass tones more than any sound stage, it was a no brainer at the time. now my 910s are starting to go on the way out (My headphones get daily, heavy use). the ULT may be my next purchase. However currently thew xm5s are on offer for £250 and the ults are at £150 so im probably going to for the ults. if i remember ill try to do a post review under this comment

I have the xb900n, do you think the ult are worth it? Do they have more bass and sound cleaner compared to xb900n? Im not sure if I should get the xm5 or the ult as the xm5 lack bass when I used them for a week but their anc was top notch.

I am a big basshead because I love a lot of bass! The Sony ULT WEAR (WH-ULT900N/B) are going to be my favorite headphones than the Skullcandy Crusher Evo headphones that I have.

firend ult have louder than crusher interms of volume becose in crusher volume is low you just listen bass and highs mids and vocal have been lost

Thank you for this video! Big fan of Sony headphones, currently have the WH-XB900N, I really like them. Although they still work great, I'm thinking of upgrading them. The Ult Wear seem more my alley now that I've seen your video, before that I'd have gone for the WH-1000XM5!

XM5 goes to a warmer sounding approach .. Flat-ish .. the whole reason why I liked XM4 better... but now , sheeesh ... seems like I Found my new favorite

I listen to lofi, hiphop, EDM and R&B and thought I was a bass head, until I compare xm5 with ulta wear. The details of xm5 is wayyyyyyyy more better than ultra wear, the sound quality is more premium. Ultra wear is just a degrade xm5 with ultra bass function, if you only care about ＢＡＳＳ it suits you. But if you care about overall sound quality, xm5 is the choice. Moreover the bass in XM5 still rocks. If you need more BASS in your music, just EQ XM5

i've learned that sharp bright head phones hurt my ear drums more for long listening hours than more bass less bright sound on the Sony ULTs, i have dt 770 pro and dt 990 pro and the clear sharp piercing treble can make my ears ring and hurt after long hours of use, so i know the xm5's will be the same way and the Sony ULT wear still sounds really good and clear enough to hear what you need to in the song with that FUN EXTRA BASS like your in a club or concert.

Comparing these two headphones is like comparing a party speaker with a monitoring speaker Sony ult wear has a very strong and exciting bass But Sony xm5 has a flatter, smoother and more detailed sound
