I’ve had these for a little over a year now. The pros are they sound good and have anc and transparency mode. The cons are ear fatigue after wearing them for an hour and the case is big. I’ve used these for yard work for the last year even though they are not ipx rated. I’ve had no issues with them breaking from me sweating in them. I live in the south so I sweat a lot. I found myself using my AirPods over these just due to case size and comfort. The Sonys sound way better though.

In many ways, I still love my XM3, of course as well as my XM4. To me, the XM3 is still more comfortable to wear (surely bigger), the ANC seems to be better than that of my XM4, and the sound is still great, although not as high-powered as the sound of my XM4. This XM3 is not obsolete at all, it can still beat AirPods Pro in terms of sound and ANC. Apart from bigger size and less portable, in many ways, it is still competitive, on par with XM4 in terms of great sound quality for music. But both XM3 and XM4 are still not impressive for phone call quality though.

Just got a pair for $80 brand new on clearance. Haven't tried them yet, but a lot of the cons won't apply to me. I rarely sweat, and I was looking for quality audio and hopefully call quality as well. Maybe they're not the best like he said in here, but I'm sure they're fine. Excited either way.

I'm using these 1000xm3s where I work on ship's engine. Connectivity: stable from Engine control room until tank top maybe 10 meters far from my phone. ANC: I can barely hear the sound of Diesel Generators and main engine. Sweatproof (based on my usage) doesn't interfere with my sweat even though it's hot in the Engine room. Battery time: adaptive sound control / anc, I can use 4 hours straight. Sound quality is still good even tho no DSEE.

I have both XM4 and XM3 and though XM4 is my daily driver, XM3 is still a very solid option if you don't care so much about IP rating.

Been using this for a year very regularly. More pros than cons actually. I don't really mind the size as I normally have a bag. For the IP rating, just make sure water don't get into any holes, which sweat would hardly do. The earbud size tho, it looks a bit weird but you'll get thru it by time. I personally wear them for the sound quality, so I don't really care with the cons. For casual usage, this would be more than enough.

the sound is ok, I would give from 1-10 scale , honestly it is 5 - bass is not punchy , mids are ok, overall it is just ok ordinary . noise cancelation is just entry level.

I decided to buy these earbuds , I 've alredy have couple cheap earbuds QCY T17 and similar, but their sound quality bass and overall sound image is not very clear although for 20 $ it is hardly to expect more. These for 60$ are today rather good deal, refurbished or open box , and in some technical parts there is no some mayor problems with them, the batteries could be easily bough and replacea, and the offer on market today are very big, especially on ebay US sellers.

It does depend on what you want out of them. If convenience is your priority the XM3's aren't really it. But if sound is your priority, there is simply nothing that comes close at this price point.

I bought it brand new for the full price also because of reviews from this channel. And it's still getting dust on the shelf while I'm using AirPods pro and Panasonic earbuds. And resale value is BS. And battery dies very quickly. Not worth it. Too bulky. Too bulky. Too bulky. Whatever the features are the design is simply not wearable.

To me it seems that Sony and Jabra are at 2 opposite sides of the TW spectrum. Jabra tries hard to give the best fit, Sony probably doesn't. Sony gives amongst the best ANCs, Jabra just doesn't put in much effort there (consider the elite 7 pros). Both have great apps but maybe there is only one king to rule them all? Would it be the Soundcore liberty 3 pros?

I was having issues with battery life only lasting like 45 minutes. I turned off the dsee hx off in the Sony app and it fixed my battery issue. Hopefully this will help.

You know the problem with ear buds? They play music but they are not musical! Lack musicality.. these are same. Playing from my Google pixel pro... The other thing with these is the battery dosent last long if you have all the functions running so I don't. I have to carry a battery pack with me every where for these and other phones too For me the main problem is my ear canals start to itch like mad and they always feel like they are about to fall out.... I'm glad I only paid £62 GB and not over £200... They aren't worth it.

Hi! I bought xm3 recently and worked just fine, but for some reason i feel like the ANC stopped working all of a sudden. It worked previously, but i think it's been like this after updating the firmware. The adaptative ambient sound is off as well. Any idea?

I find the ANC being more effective or less effective depending on the environment and my own activity. I think it works best when I just sit down and listen, but worse when I'm on the move.

@@thenonexistinghero There is a setting in the app that allows you to set the ANC strength depending on the activity that you are doing. The default setting might not be to your liking. Try fiddling with it

USB c regulates how much power goes into the charging case. I used a USB c power tester, and my Sony wf-xm4's charged at 2 watts.

Left bud battery dead within 15mins (granted I've been mainly using the left bud around the house for the past 2 years), switched to the right bud and now the right bud only last around 20 mins. Guess the take away is not to put them back in case that often as it might deteriorate the battery longevity? Thoughts?

Good things is the battery is replaceable. You could diy. Just pop them off and unscrew it, then slap on the new batteries and it works like a charm. No need for thermal heating or any other technical work. This way, these buds can last a whole decade!

Are you sure you ever bought them? I'm not. You are the only one with that experience. It sounds like you just want to be negative. I got them and the sound is excellent, anc works great. And they fit just fine (I use the large earbuds) I also got Jabra Elite sport (twice the price) and my Sony 1000 XM3s sounds almost just as good.

Everyone has different opinions and for me they didn’t fit well and without a proper fit nothing else would work as it should. There’s a reason Sony dropped that design for a more ergonomic one. If they fall out of my ears then they are useless to me. Also I remember having a conversation with my uncle and the noise cancellation on and couldn’t believe how bad it performed.

These earphones are really poor !! Mine have failed just after the warranty run out. I did an internet search, and they are known to fail! Needing a replacement. The new Sony WF-1000XM4 have already started to fail already same issue. My recommendation is to stay away from Sony earphones. VERY EMBARRASSING SONY !!!

They were never worth buying. Uncomfortable and always falling out. Too heavy, too bulky. Noise cancelling is.. well…is. Nothing special. Wasted £200 on these in the past. Misplaced them a while ago and don’t even think about them. Apart of wasted money.
