Good evening, what about the sound of this tv? I have just bought it but I'm a little disappointed: I don't hear the bass sounds. And it is strange from sony. I have chosen it also because I trusted the sony audio quality. Could it be a problem of my tv, a defective product? Or is it the same for everyone, so this model it's simply like that? Thank you in advance.

Great review. It's actually a relief to find a review for buyers considering buying at a level just under premium. I want the best for my money without stretching the budget for a basic model oled/qled. You have a great voice for narration of your videos too. Thank you.

@@BartKajor-hl1ts my viewing distance is about 10 feet. Probably too small a room for this size TV but we got used to it very quickly. We had a 65 inch for a few years and were used to that. We are renting and moving to a bigger place in the short term so the viewing distance was something I wasn't worried about. It's a great TV though and works in the room

@denissssss8579
@denissssss8579 4 жыл бұрын
Zues Shamarn . It’s not about the Panel, it’s about the picture quality and picture quality comes from the TV Processor not only from the TV panel itself! I’ve owned a Sony LCD XE93 55“ and upgraded recently to a LG C8 77“ OLED, well... actually it’s a downgrade for me... I have done a side by side comparison in my room... let me explain: 1. Motion handling: LG has poorer motion handling compared to the Sony. Tv shows and games on console don’t look like 30fps more like 15-20fps... that’s due to faster pixel response I know but that ruins my gaming experience (1:0 for Sony) 2. Black crush: LG C8 has a black crush issue, even on the newer sets (C9, CX) it’s a well known issue. Sony is not Black crushing anything (2:0 for Sony) 3. Noise: LG C8 has noise in dark scenes, whenever content is dark the picture is even worse like it’s making the picture look washed out even more. I’ve compared that to my Sony and even to my iPad none of that devices are showing noise in dark scenes by the exact same video clip (3:0 for Sony) 4. Upscaling: my Sony has better upscaling quality (4:0 for Sony) 5. Picture settings: on the LG the picture settings barely do anything, yes u can increase this and that I know I know it works, but on Sony every setting changes the whole picture, xtended dynamic range low to high, local dimming low to high, u can see a big difference from any setting u choose. (5:0 for Sony) 6. Software issues: Whenever I turn on my C8, it automatically starts my console, every single time. That sucks. And no option is available not even on the internet to turn that off. That’s not how HDMI CEC should work. No problems with that on Sony. (6:0 for Sony) 7. Speaking of software: poor software support on LG, LG content store has less apps than play store on Sony, LG is not updating the LG C8 for AirPlay 2, Sony is updating all their TVs from 2018 with AirPlay 2. So I’ve paid 4000€ for the 77“ version to not get the AirPlay 2 feature nice LG 👏🏻👏🏻 (7:0 for Sony) 8. HDR: HDR is brighter on my Sony it has 1300 NITS compared to 800 from LG (8:0 for Sony) 9. Burn in: I did not have any burn in issues, but there is still a chance that u can get burn in, I have set all my devices to start screen saver as soon as possible (after 5 min inactivity on PS4), I also see a lot of image retention, compared to Sony LCD I did not have to worry about burn in at all (9:0 for Sony) 10. 3Dish look: Sony TVs have a special 3D type of look, LG and Samsung TVs look flat and like paper, on Sony u have the type of 3D behind scenes that’s amazing and I’m not the only who noticed that a lot of reviewers said that too. (10:0 for Sony) 11. Guarantee issues: High pitch noise issue from the back of my C8 I had to replace it I had guarantee so they changed it but I have ridden in the internet almost all 77“ versions have a high pitch noise from the back of the tv u hear it even when the TV was turned off. No noise from Sony at all. (11:0 for Sony) 12. Remote: Feels plastic and cheap on LG, nice premium remote on Sony (12:0 for Sony) 13. Turning TV off: when turning TV off the LG makes a click sound which is pretty loud like someone shoots with the gun, no loud sound at all by turning off Sony (13:0 for Sony) So only benefits from LG C8 Are: 1. Perfect black: 0 Blooming, yes on Sony u have about blooming but I haven’t watched tv in a dark room ever. (13:1) 2. Perfect viewing angle: first class viewing angles compared to worse viewing angle on Sony but I don’t care because I sit directly in front of the tv. (13:2) 3. World class anti reflective filter: even tho my Sony is brighter I see in a bright room more reflections on the screen, on the LG I don’t see reflections at all even if the sun directly shines into the room with 40 degrees outside. (13:3) So that Are the only benefits i have with this new tv... Conclusion: 13:3 for Sony. LG OLED C8 77“ got destroyed by a 2017 Sony LCD. I totally regret the purchase. The only thing u really get from a LG OLED are the perfect blacks. Nothing else is really mentionable... the pictured quality OVERALL is worse, yes blooming here and there but OVERALL I’ve had better picture quality on the Sony. I feel so super sad for the LG fans who think that they got the best and cheapest tv, but they don’t, LG is marketing their tv with their panel, u think u have the best tv because it’s an oled, but the panel itself doesn’t make it a good tv. It’s the chipset, upscaling, Motion handling what makes the picture quality to the top. And u can’t see that on KZbin, u can’t. U can only see that in person in real life side by side! This is the first and last time I’ve changed the brands, I’m gonna keep this chicken TV for the next 2 years and then I’m gonna upgrade instantly to a Sony ZG9 for 10.000€ or a future Sony OLED with HDMI 2.1... I’m a TV enthusiast and everything else than Sony is just pure pure trash. That’s why Sony has a premium price. U have to pay a premium price but u will get the most premium picture quality. Thanks for reading my long text. #StayHomeStaySafe #SonyForLife #AppleAndSonyBestBrandsEver

@@kawhi-theking_of_the_north3536 I'd say if you can get this tv from a sale, go for it. Setup was really quick and easy, the Android TV is a pleasure to use, and the picture quality is pretty darn good for the price. Although there is a bit of blooming in pitch black scenes (loading screens etc.), you barely even notice it when playing or watching tv. Only time will tell how the TV's gonna hold up, but so far it's been a solid 9/10 experience with this TV 🙂

@@ashbinx Yes I played ps5 on it.I ultimately returned this TV and went with the LG cx, which the new model I think is the c1. It had great picture, color quality. But the blacks were lifted. Very splotchy in dark scenes. Any thing slightly bright in a dark scene would make it look bright. For gaming it seemed fine but for 4k or regular 1080p movies/TV it was driving me nuts. I can't say get it or don't because it's all personal preference and I am abit picky when it comes to this stuff. Hope this helps. Good luck.

After a few weeks researching I got the 75" version of this tv and it is really fantastic. So many things built in ATSC 3.0, HDMI 2.1,4k120hz, eArc, ALLM, VRR, 7ms Game mode, AirPlay 2, Homekit, Dolby Vision,HDR10,HLG. and much more. The blacks are outstanding for LCD. Panel is plenty bright, almost too much so in some content. UX is super fast and the bluetooth remote is great (controls PS4 also). If I have a gripe it is the dark corners (vignetting), only visible at times with very white bright scenes involving the corners. Overall I love it. and am ready for PS5. Sure the OLED is amazing... But it had better be for $4000+ for a 77" CX which is almost 2x the price. YMMV

Coming from a low end TV, this TV is amazing. I never thought I'd spend this much on a freaking LCD and fancy chips! It could be brighter, even when maxed out, but if you get it on sale or get a 0% interest chance it's well worth it! P.S. Don't put a sound bar with upward placing speakers under the TV like they did.

This was a great very informative review, I have a Panasonic 55” OLED which I got a good deal asadisplay model, it’s a great TV with amazing blackberry levels, I also have an Sony 55” LED in my loft which I have to turned into a small home cinema, this TV actually gives the OLED a good run for it’s money when it comes to pictures qualify and motion, I am very interested in getting the 75” verson of the TV in the review at under 2 grand it represents astonishing values for money, the only thing is I have a distance of 12 feet’s from the sofa I was worriedly this is not enough distance but on others sites I read you just need a distance of 8 to 14 feet to enjoy that size and I will soon get used to it, having a good think about what to do.

I got the 55 inch one as I didn't want to go overboard in terms of size and destroy my funds. So far, this TV has done me wonders as I previously purchased a Samsung TU8000(Series 8) Crystal UHD TV and that one SUCKED. I had issues connecting a sound bar to that TV and a smart feature was bugged for me. I had to go out of my way to get the TV since I went to 2 Best Buys just to make a whole exchange for it. But...in the end, it worked out well. Had the best of everything overall and I can tell the big differences between the Samsung and Sony TV. Funnily enough, I was using a Full HD Sony TV beforehand and that one never gave me trouble like Samsung did.

One suggestion, put on some low level (i.e. not championship) sports like football or American football as -- while I'm not a sports fan but many are -- this is the best way to showcase both sharpness and motion blur in SD (non-HD) content , and it's important for those who want a tv either for sports or for daytime tv . @@LoveLiveAndADHD The X900H will offer a decent amount of the performance of the Q90T at a much lower price. Plus 2 x HDMI 2.1 vs just one on the Samsung if that is important to you.

@@pn1555 Well actually the prices here are still 1000 for it, and the price usually is the best price. I went in to cancel my order and a manager offered to discount it for me a bit, so i ended up negotiating a better deal. This almost never happens tho. Must be because of the pandemic and theyre desperate for sales.

It's a nice looking TV but I wish they would stop with the A-Frame stand. They are so limiting when you don't have a really wide TV unit. Much prefer the stand on the samsung Q models.

The verdict is still out for me on the 900H. I've got the 65 and it's better than the Sony 750H I originally bought, in an attempt to move up a size class from my 55 inch Sony 750F. Unfortunately I got super spoiled with that TV without even knowing it. Since I'm not a tv guru, I hadn't realized that most of the LED TV's now have a new technology called VA, which is horrible compared to the IPS screens like in my older Sony, which has that bright colorful Sony quality picture. The VA screens may do better with blacks, but at an enormous negative impact to picture quality, clarity, color, depth, motion and reflection handling. The 900H seems to do what it can to combat the VA screen, and it's certainly better than the Samsung TU7000 and Sony 750H TVs I tried before it, but still a long way from the picture quality of the old 750F with the IPS screen. Unfortunately, the only thing Sony offers in 2020 with the IPS is the 800H, which I'd have definitely bought except it didn't have eARC, whereas the 900H does. I'll agree that the picture on the 900H does look best in "Standard Mode* with almost all the gadgets and gizmos turned to off. What all that wizardry is for, I've got no clue, but it didn't help combat that dirty, dingy, VA Panel. I think the only thing saving this TV is that it's decently bright. Other than that... I'd recommend buying either a used IPS version of a Sony, or shelling out the money for the OLED version. I got my 65" 900H on sale for under $1000, but I still think that's way over priced for the picture quality. For me, it's not a horrible looking TV and it gave me the eARC feature I wanted for the surround sound system, but it's a far cry from the quality IPS screens they used to make.

The XH950 is better than the XH900 in most modes, the only place where the 950 is inferior to the younger model is the gaming mode, so it is very difficult to choose ;)

I got a Sony 55XG9505 last month. Before I pulled the trigger, the XH9000 was also my top choice, but picked up the higher ranking but outdated model for its better graphic chip inside. Very happy with both versions when I checked them out in Curry. Sony's color calibration is second to none and I'll only buy Sony TV for this characteristic. Another choice is Panasonic for its durable electronics.

I Immediately went out and bought about 25 4K Blu-ray movies, I now own every single decent comic book movie on 4K and some other fun ones. One question what is the deal with HDR movies in 4K are all 4K movies HDR. For example you can buy the DC set on 4K Blu-ray which I did and they don’t say they are HDR, but if u buy them separate they say HDR, why
