It's a trade off. The X95J is showing a lot more details in the animations whereas the OLED is creating more depth by darkening any areas that are in the shadowa to the point where you can hardly tell what's in those areas.

A80j is not darkening but x95j is raising blacks because of lcd backlight.. oled shows how it's meant to be

Well, the X95J looks a little better in the store but this is not the case at home. I am really enjoying my Sony A80J since June and I dont have to worry about blooming lol. Also, it can get quite bright if viewing in the right environment. The contrast is king. Thanks for the video!

@@user-on5bi8xx8k Why? If the tv is running 5years... all is good. Better buy an OLED with nearly perfect pic quality than a LED with problems, blooming and a next buy only after 2 or 3 years.

@@Da-iken It's ok if you have the money to spend every 5 years for a new tv. I prefer to buy a tv every 10 years with less money. I can live with blooming. It's all about the money, everybody knows that oled have better picture quality but not everybody can buy them every 5 years.

@@user-on5bi8xx8k the oled can also hold much longer. The weird thing is that so much people buying a new tv even after one year because the led makes problems or is not that good. Same people like u that are talking about burn in... That means u eventually spend more money and energy into LED TVs. And if u ask they say they want a tv for the next 10 years. LoL but at the same time looking for a new model after some time

You have burn-in to worry about. Also the panels get dim over time just like plasmas did.

The blacks look way better on the Oled. I have an X95J 85 inch and I absolutely love it. Oled is a little to dark for me and do not like the possibility of burn in on the Oled's. Both excellent choices though. Can't go wrong with Sony.

Sony a90j will be the same as x95j, only brighter colors, well, Sony A95k will be much better,and the problem of burning out a TV for more than 5 years is simply not needed,technologies are developing very quickly and soon very soon it will be necessary to change to 8K

I got my 65” X95j at local Best Buy store demo display for sale $1,091 lol so happy with it ! If you like black better than go with Oled but I chose led because it brighter than Oled pictures!

Lack of shadow detail is standing out to me on the oled. I find the Richness in color of the oled more appealing.

OLED is not good if you have a bright room and in lacks detail in dark scenes. Last but not least it carrys with it rick of screen burn in. Yes the colors are vibrant but are you really willing to risk screen burn in with that type price tag ? I wouldnt

Thanks for sharing. The OLED looks richer in color and deeper contrast but seems like it lost details in some scenes due to darkness. The led gains details in picture due to brightness but washes out color a bit and loses contrast. It seems like I would have to choose my poison :)

It's the camera or the settings on the OLED. I have XE90, XG95 and A8H and A8H has just as much shadow detail as both FALD's. It's actually even easier to see things in darker scenes because of superior contrast. OLED doesn't suffer from black crush anymore as they used to.

All those who said OLED doesn't look good in a bright room were clearly wrong. It's just that the LED is showing more shadow detail whereas the OLED crushes those dark areas so you can't see anything but black.

It looks like the settings are a little off on both TVs to exaggerate the difference in brightness and darkness Never trust store demos. Use rting or other reviewers to decide what TV has the best picture

Yes When you have the best calibrator in the country or one of the best. How can you go wrong it looks absolutely stunning. About to get my A9g done also.

Question: why is it on the A80j OLED that when I have the internet through Ethernet wired it gives me lower speeds than my wifi. I have gig internet and through Wi-Fi I hit like 600-700 down and wired I only get around 120 down. ?

@goldenboy Sorry if this is too late - but almost every manufacturer actually cheaps out on their network cards and their ethernet is only graded at 100 Mbps instead of gigabit. This is because most users use Wi-Fi. I personally hate it, so I bought a Nvidia Shield TV which support gigabit ethernet and just run the TV via HDMI. Hope this helps!

Hi Fade and community. I need some help or advice here. I have an 85x95h and had faulty panel and geek squad agreed to exchange. I was given the option of an 85 x90k or a credit for the cost x90k not what I paid for x95h when I purchased. I thought they would offer the 95k since they are out of the 95j. They said that the 90k is better than the 95h I have now. What do you think about that statement? Thank you

@@willa5180 I’m in a similar spot right now. 75” x90j that developed this weird purple blotchy burn-in nearly a year into ownership. Sony will replace or allow me to choose and pay the difference if upgrading. Really torn on what to do. Can’t risk another panel going to hell after the 90 day warranty this new one will have. Will be used for gaming and sports in a medium lit basement. Don’t mind spending a bit to upgrade but gotta draw the line somewhere.

@@mckk5585 Here is a little update. Thank you for your feedback. I did went to the store and they were actually more helpful and were able to do the swap with only about $600 coming out of pocket for an 85x95k.
