Do you know if the side camera triggers kill overlay the video on the unit so if I have a map app open it won’t have the gps/maps app go crazy?

Good question, we have not tested this but our assumption would be there should be no effect on Android Auto or CarPlay maps screen if the side cams are triggered, it is simply switching what is viewed on the screen (video input wise), and should have no effect on what the maps are doing

@@LockdownSecurity ​​⁠Ok so do you think that this system would operate differently to how my current unit “Alpine Halo 11” F511” with the PAC VS-41 would? My guess is that since the VS-41 operates through the Reverse output on the alpine that the signal override is different. Thoughts?

​@MuddyDrip again no way to answer 100 percent without testing, but, the Sony has separate dedicated camera inputs, with the wired switcher (AKA wired switch input wires) built in, so, it should have no issues with those inputs, when using maps through a smartphone, meaning, you should not have an issue.

Doesn't the Sony 9500 have trigger cameras or you can still make it work like that. Just curious

Yes the 9500 has the same triggers, but is part of the Sony Mobile ES line, so not available at all Sony retailers.

Does this unit have screen mirroring and does it mute or lower the volumn automatically when you put the car into reverse?

Screen mirroring is possible when using an HDMi input, as for lowering volume in reverse we will need to look into this, not sure if it does or not.
