I wish it was possible to reduce the resolution and refresh rate. 4k might be nice, but it's overkill on a mobile device, and 60Hz can extend battery life.

And these demographics know what they want they commonly don't buy phones at release, but buy phones when they need to, like when the previous one breaks.

@@songoku9094 I watched their announcement video and they did read aloud the spec sheet in their Japanese accent and explained it. (we may have different expectations in how much is considered "explained") As for comparing with other phones, it is the job of the reviewers and yes many reviewers screwed up like usual. Giving time for consumers to read and watch reviews and then make an informed decision is also a decency we lack today.

I have the Xperia 1 mark 1 which doesn't have HS power control. I've been curious. For the HS power control, will this work with GPS apps like Google maps or waze? As someone who drives alot I keep my phone on the charger in the car while driving. If I could use HS power control while driving, this could really help my battery. Could you let me know if this works??

So yes you can definitely add the application into the game enhancer and then once you launch it turn on HS power control for it. Some apps unfortunately do not show up like Cinema Pro and camera Pro so it doesn't work for everything but you should be able to as long as it's supported within game enhancer

The only issue when you're talking about GPS based application is that they typically have a faster power draw than just standard gaming because not only are you running the display but also the GPS and the modem so sometimes you will still lose power even if you have HS power control turned on

How does the phone behave in extended camera use? There’s an issue with the heat generated from using it for a long time until it shuts itself down after few warnings and alerts. Mobile gaming has been awesome on previous models so kudos to Sony for managing that. Great quick review.

Every KZbinr talks about the same things. But there is no one that talks about the audio output, the dac and what it does with the sound quality. If you can listen music with Hi Res with the Sony headphones you get for free. Especialy when you listen to music that offers Hi Res. They all talk about the same stuff about every phone. Its like that no one knows the product, and then you get these video's.

So did this play may not be the brightest on the market but it's definitely the best quality of the market. The other thing that you may want to keep in mind is seems like Sony's going to be announcing the next version of the Xperia one at some point in the near future so you may want to pick that one up and I'm sure they'll be some improvements in there as well over we have with the one Mark 3

Watching the video, great job. I will keep my order with Amazon and look for it. I am not sure if I can use my Samsung Watch with the Sony smartphone, probably not, but any comments if so are appreciated. "SONY...No Baloney" { seriously, when Sony does something they go All In, and yes that was one of their advertising "slogans" from the 70s or early 80s. My First Sony was the ICR-100 a matchbox sized AM radio, with rechargeable batteries and a built-in speaker, all metal. It's around here somewhere in my place, but alas the batteries expired in the 1990s.

What I really want to know is whether the Google assistant physical button on the side is re-programmable to have a different function? Nobody seems to be able to answer tgis question.
