Well i could tell the difference very easily, look at the speaker grill, its much longer on the z2 and also the chrome on the side it was pretty obvious. but yea, some sony phones are really identical. You also didn't mention the exposed usb port on the m4 aqua, thats a big point to skip.

You should test bigger apps so difference is more pronounced. Maybe some games loading like candy crush, subway surfers etc. Also consider scrapping the browsing test, since both devices are competing for bandwidth, load speed will be dependent on your internet rather than the device.

Did you adjust the white balance on your z2. The display looks very cold almost z3 like. Very different to mine which is more like the m4 aqua

Which one should I choose? The Z2 is 100€ more expensive than M4 Aqua and the only available M4-model is the one with only 8 GB.(1,26 for user) I don't play so much games, I just want a smoothly working and good looking device with a nice camera. Any advises?

Dato Alavidze Yes it's allowed. Need to go to settings, apps, All and click "transfer to SD" button. Note: Olny downloaded apps can be transferred as Sony preinstalled stuff seems to be locked on internal memory.

U can say the processor is abt the same , whenever z2 goes ahead probably bcos of the 3gb ram vs 2gb ram on the aqua... I notice the aqua has less blueish lcd which is found on the z2/z3

KpopHunkTech Z2 is a flagship and beneath the self comfort of using premium device, you always have that "Thanks for buying our expensive flagship" support in: sony support phorums, premium updates, dedicated apps and all the background of which we don't think choosing a new smartphone, how big is a company, how many services are in my area if something happens. I had some mid-range devices and always felt kicked when had a problem, that's my second flagship and manufacturer support and dealing within service is more that great, Z2 charging problem - device replaced for new one, Z2 water inside camera, liquid sensitive stripes white, flaps covered properly - device replaced for new one. Nothing more to say.

I bought m4 aqua because z1 is not available anymore. z2 is much more expensive than m4 so I bought m4 instead. Also in m4 you don't need to cover the charging/earphones hole so I think it's better

CPU maniac looks is different from specs. You can have a very bad 1080p panel vs a nice OLED 720p panel or just simply optimization to makr it look the same. Only in person will you see a slight minimal difference between 720p vs 1080p only differences are easily noticeable in 40+ inch panels.

I could tell the difference because of the chrome accents on the side of the z2. In fact, the z2 probably the most distinguishable of the lot lol. They all look so identical. Very boring Sony!

Tech Trinkets it's gotten boring though. Every Sony device looks identical. From budget end to flagship, they all look the same. The black z2 is the most distinguishable because of those chrome accents on the sides. I think it's time for Sony to move on from the z series. They've defined them by slim design preventing the use of bigger batteries and any meaningful upgrade to the camera module. Time for a change. I was bored by the z3 and even more so with the z3+.
