My first ever Android phone was the Xperia E1 with Android 4.3 (1:37). Was a very weak phone but I absolutely loved Sony's take on Android. My all-time favorite Android variation is definitely Sony's Android 5.x Lollipop (2:58) on their later devices. The colorful theming and additional options that even got merged back into AOSP itself was awesome, and I loved that they kept the unlock particle effects on the lock screen (removed with 6.x)

my father used a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro which had even older UI from the one in this video, in my view the coolest one out of Android phones from that particular time. I still launch it from time to time. I especialy like the Timescape widgets, many elements of this UI survived in the following years. You should get your hands on one of these phones, I think the X10 Mini Pro would be perfect

There are old user interfaces I wish they would bring back. I liked TuochWiz UI. I used it since 2014 and it's not bad. I have a Galaxy S5 with Android 5.1.1 and it runs great. My favorite wallpaper from TouchWiz UI is the Android 6 default wallpaper.

In summer 2013 my first Sony Xperia E with Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean. In summer 2014 my second Sony Xperia Z1 with Android 4.4.4 Kitkat to 5.0 Lollipop. In early 2017 my third Sony Xperia XA1 with Android 7.0 Nougat to 8.0 Oreo. I miss Sony Xperia UI. 🥲 and my Samsung Galaxy (A70 then A53 5G then S23 Ultra) in January 2020 to now. 😉

Sony Xperia UI (older generation), maybe is like Samsung TouchWiz. But maybe Sony make it less laggy and just works lightweight (if I correct) While today's version is just minor customization or Vanilla with some modifications by Sony
