Sony Xperia Pro-I vs Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max | How "pro" can you go?

I have this phone and yes the pictures it takes are amazing. Also so many manual adjustments, that if you do the work, you can take some really good photos and video. This phone is PRO because you have to actually do some work to get some good pictures but the extra effort is worth it. No longer need to carry a camera unless I really need a higher mm zoom (be nice if an adapter comes out :-). I did some tweaking to the battery and now I get at least 1.5 days worth of battery unless I use the camera a lot. Overall It is the best phone I have ever owned, for it's camera, the screen and pure android experience. Also NO NOTCH or PUNCH HOLE :-)

I also have the Pro i and agree 100%.I had S21 Ultra, Pixel 6 etc etc......No smartphone has such a camera! Otherwise, the device is absolutely top of the top in all respects

A perfect example of how computational photography has gone way too far: there's absolutely nothing natural about the iPhone shots. They're objectively awful when viewed opposite the Sony, especially the pebbles. I have no idea why people rate iPhone and Pixel photography so highly.

Sometimes if not most the time with mobiles. People just want quick pictures that. Look edited. They either do not have the time or know how to do it themselves, you can take raw photos on iPhone and edit. But let’s be honest they aren’t cameras. No even close. Ease of use and always in your pocket. Unlike a DSLR. People always comment on how good my pics and video looks these days and I’ve gone back to iPhone left them at around iPhone 5 or 5s now got a 12 pro max ultra s x 3.0 O shit sorry got carried away. 12 pro max Can’t fault it, I loved my Samsungs, Oneplus, huawei but the apps on iPhone are better, smoother. Solid. IMO. I love for ease the Sony compact APS-C with 18-200 mm lens. All round great for most pictures. I’d love a phone you could bank a lens like that on.

Have you had the issue on the Xperia Pro-I in which the phone gets so hot, it gives a user warning and is almost too hot to the touch? I have seen this mentioned on forums, and it makes me apprehensive to purchase the device

Larger screen on the iPhone but with a notch. Awful design choice and one that turned me away from iPhone when it was implemented. Xperia has a 21:9 aspect ratio which is wonderful for watching movies combined with front facing speakers. Using Sony's Creator Mode and MX Player Pro with custom codecs such as TrueHD I can enjoy films as I have never seen before on a mobile device.
