At 2:53, i snapped off the black connector from the foil, both white and black parts came off together, along with one of the the small black pins(the one on the left...) Is this fixable?

The answer is no btw for anyone curious, the part you get will be missing the fingerprint scanner, button modules on the side of the frame, the headphone jack, and a few other things youll have to figure out how to transplant from your broken phone.

Hi, one question. If I buy the entire frame + LCD screen, it means that I don't have the need to replace only the screen, I mean, I just need to detach the back parts of the phone and reassemble to the new frame? Am I right? Thanks.

I replaced the screen of a XZP which would turn on but black screen, still same problem after I replaced it. What can it be, do I need to replace the motherboard perhaps? I just found that if I boot the phone or make a screenshot with it I can see an EXTREMELY low change of brightness

This tutorial was very helpful but after a while i needed to dissassembly the phone again (proximity sensor problem) and after assembling it back my touch screen is not responding at all.. i've ordered another screen and the issue is still there... :/

What's the problem of the screen before repaired? Did you drop it before? It seems that touch IC on the motherboard is damaged, I suggest you find a professional repair store to check which part is broken.

Thanx a lot for responding, i've been replacing the screen because of the drop - flat faced on flat surface, phone in softshell but still totally broken to the point that the touchscreen was working only in the midsection a bit. As mentionet - first replacement following this tutorial was a success but prox. sensor was not working properly, i decided to reassembly again, been very cautious but still touchscreen refused to work, ordered second unit and still the same. Did master reset on the phone (using org and paired dualshock controller to operate) and still no luck. I guess i'll have to sell those screens and buy a new phone :(

Although xz premium is waterproof, but it could also get water inside when drop into water and hit something down water, the reason could be complicate, I recommend you to go Sony service center and get help, if your phone is still under warranty.

Hey there, need some help. I am "fixing" my screen right now and the new screen doesn't turn on. When I press the powerbutton the vibration motor makes the same vibration like when I would turn the phone on Edit: While tiping this comment my phone speakers started to make sound. Reconnect the screen flex cable, if it doesn't work, check the cable to see if there's any PIN missing or bent

Hi, did you try another charger to charge your XZ Premium? If you tried and it still charge slow, then it maybe the problem of charging port and battery. Try contact with Sony service center. and by the way, it's Wit Rigs :-)

You got the best repair guides but man do something about your customer service. I almost ordered a xz premium screen with all the tools until i've read all these reviews. I backed out because i have a repair shop and can't insure the customers that their parts will be delivered or make sure these are OEM parts.. A damn shame because of the cheap price

half of this is unnecessary you only need to lift the motherboard and push through the new wire for the lcd and connect.

Absolute shit. The new screen worked when I first tested it, but then it never switched on once everything was put back together. Avoid!
