Xz1 roxx! Bro i have xperia XZ1. i haven't faced any bugs etc but RAM usage is very high System alone eats 1.5 gb ram even in safe mode. Its the same. I did sofware repair too.. I am very happy with my phone but Is it a Oreo issue or only in my device. Can u tell about your Ram usage??

No its working fast! No lag at all battery is perfect.. But i am using Xperia M5 too its ram usage is very less... Some people are complaining the same thing in pixel 8.0.0 too. (about high ram usage)

My XZ Premium has a RAM usage of 2.6 GB and it is still running Nougat, so it's not specific for the Android version. I guess many apps are being cached into the ram to provide better startup-speeds, they get removed from the RAM when something active needs that space. Since it doesn't hurt usability of your phone, I wouldn't worry about it. Also, Oreo shouldn't take much more space then Nougat and it's predecessors, but if it does, then thats a task for the phone manufacturer to get around that. 3 GB seems to be more than enough tho

I like your speed test comparison the best. Your suite of apps and games and browser website test makes the most sense. These are what normal people do on a smart phone. Other KZbinrs do Photoshop and very heavy duty apps which of course Apple dominates. General use is what I'm looking for. Your tests are the best.

Everyone says that xz1 will easily beat them but I'm no loner sure after watching this video. I saw that at the beginning both handsets had 75% and at the end of the test 68%.

My ideal fingerprint location is where sony puts it. I find it a lot more awkward to put my thumb flat where that home button is, and it disturbs the clean flat surface of the glass. Try turning the screen on and off on both quickly and you won't have to fumble with the Sony.

These quick tests don't say anything. First of all who cares that one phone will start up an app half a second quicker? Both are speedy. But just live with both phones for at least one month and then come back to evaluate. Which phone remains fluid and snappy overall? My experience with Android in general is that it becomes laggy after a while, not that it necessarily gets slower in the actual time it takes to open an app or web page, but the resonsiveness alters, it gets less fluid. With iOS the system remains consistently fluid. That said, I just love the angular anti-design of the Sony (I am not being scarcastic). It's a breath of fresh air between all the flat and rounded smartphones. My pick for a new Android smartphone would definitely be the Sony XZ1 Compact or the Nokia 8.

No, he didn't test the battery life. The Sony will have much better battery life, as it's a 2700mah battery in a 4.6" display phone. The display uses the most battery life, so the iPhone will have much worse battery life.

Phone Battles i will tell u where the problem is. You tap at the same time probably but you keep taping it for a long time so it doesn't register immediately. The phone waits till you remove your finger from it. I hope you give a little attention to these things to make it fair. Tap as you would on a normal occasion.
