He is a paid for Astroturfer. What he has done is SPAM EVERY SINGLE sony XZ3 review on KZbin with the same comments, essentially trying to make a grassroots statement that the XZ3 is not good, thus misinforming customers. ASTROTURFING is highly illegal in the USA and in the UK, with a 50,000 USD fine for EACH post or a year in jail. The second way he is trying to do is turn this DECENT review into a debacle-thus making Btekt's review worthless, by swearing and insulting people. If someone swears and insults over something so trivial as mobile phone then one thinks, is this person a child, or a deranged adult? Why would someone resort to such language to try and get a point across? If one speaks like this then automatically anything they say has lost any traction now and forever. I hope Btekt do something about this guy before he turns all reviews (apart from Jack's favourite brand ) into a debacle. and no one can take Btekt seriously anymore-due to the squabbles and in-fighting :( To be honest if this carries on much longer then I am unsubscribing.

yup pal now that one WILL be a j-oled screen ,as by then JOLED will have fabriacation rates up to scratch. ATM they are using a super-highly tweaked P OLED. It was onyl the old LCD screens that were japan display.

The XZ4 premium it'll be. That will be next year either at MWC or shortly after. That'll be a 4k oled display with this design and may be slightly slimmer bezels again. I can't wait for it, it'll also be the best camera on a smartphone as the XZ2 premium is now.

Both excellent displays, but when at outdoors, it appears on the camera that the XZ3 is slightly more visible than the S9+. Also, I like how the XZ3 doesn't crush shadows like the S9+ sometimes does. Color accuracy of the S9+ is better though, but hardly anyone uses it. All Samsung phone users I know always use Adaptive Display mode instead of Basic.

Not only that but a good review would look at all the modes and see which one is the closest to color accurate. What reviewers actually should be looking for are more noticeable things than color such as posterization and the choice between keeping fine detail or choosing to make the image brighter.

the position of the fingerprint sensor is not a problem. After 2-3 weeks of owning the phone, you'll get used to it and you won't even notice. you will only have a problem (not getting used) if you use this phone together with others which got the more used position for the scanner. sony is slithery different' but not bad, but not better either.

To make it fair you should have put the sony in professional mode. Standard is more saturated. I have both and in the same mode they are almost identical. But the manual brightness on the sony is much higher, which I like.

Things to keep in mind: The display of the XZ3 is said to be provided by LG. www.oled-info.com/sony-xperia-xz3 so for those who are digging this because they liked Sony LED TVs... well... yeah. Samsung's basic mode is said to be a mode where the screen is toned down to fit sRGB. Which turns out to be what Sony's pro mode does. That's why its basic settings are on adaptive mode. This makes nothing matter either Samsung wins because the colours look balanced or the Sony wins because they look more vivid. Note: XZ3 having LG displays is not an official announcement but a claim made by the website and some other outside sources.

i won't lie am a big sony fan. i always buy their latest flagship device. the xz3 display looks gorgeous. mainly the customer will be an average user and will never notice the difference between the two devices. I don't like samsung phones cuz of heavy skin over android but I always recommend it cuz it checks the main points of flagship device. another great review thank u sir 👌👌👍

Whoa, that's a hard one to call. I liked the Sony screen just a wee bit more. The colours seemed a touch more vibrant than on the Samsung. It's really hard to pick a favourite as they're both stunning screens. Maybe I'm slightly biased towards the Sony. I still use my nearly 6 year old Xperia Z Ultra to play games, read and watch videos on. The new Sony XZ3 is a beautiful phone but it seems to have a relatively big chin and forehead (or is it called a top chin ?) Great video as always Btekt. Take it easy bud.

@@georgemackenzie5616 My Huawei P20 Pro has both a notch and a chin but I wouldn't change them at all. The notch is so small and unobtrusive you really don't notice it's there or you can have it hidden with a black line. The chin houses a fingerprint reader which doubles as a navigation button, a quick press to go back, a long press to go home, left or right to go to recent apps & up to launch Google. It's a brilliant idea and so simple to use that I wish my other phones & tablet could do the same. Chins are disappearing on new phones and notches (or teardrops) are getting smaller but for now you'll need to put up with a chin, a "forehead" or a notch.

You set the displays to completely different settings! The basic mode on the S9 is calibrated to sRGB, so you should have set the Xperia to Professional Mode. You're suppose to know about these things, you have a damn tech channel after all.

Thanks for the comparison! As a new XZ3 owner I really appreciate it ;) But I should point out that the Sony in standard mode boosts the colours, you should choose the "professional" sRGB mode for the first comparison. That makes the Sony colours more accurate but less vibrant.

I've yet to see the XZ3 display, but very eager to. Sadly here in Australia there are no local stores who stock the XZ3, so the only way to get it is via online shops (no way to see the display before buying). The Note 9 display is really nice though. My only concern with the Note 9 is lag - the display units I've seen in shops all seem to have some animation lag when scrolling through home screens and menus, which I find very surprising on such a powerful modern flagship. I've not experienced any lag on a Sony phone since the original Xperia Z many years back. Even the Z2 after a few updates ran completely lag free. I have seen some videos where people have changed menu animation settings on the Note to and that seems to remove the percieved menu lag, so I'm going to buy the Note 9 and try with that setting adjusted and see how it goes. If I find myself getting performance issues over time with the Samsung (as I have with my LG v30 at times) then I'm just going to have to go back to Sony again - as my last 3 or 4 Sony phones all performed flawlessly.

Quite Misleading the video part of this video. Even 4k 60fps is optically stabilized, but above 1080p 30fps you cannot use the EIS, or the electronic part of it. Try it out both options from a fix distance, and you will see that if you turn on the stabilization on the s9+, the video will be more cropped in.

Secondly i wont be surprised on the next gen of I phones that Apple switch to SONY technology as clearly SAMSUNG should be ashamed of themselves. On Sony's FIRST try they arguably beat Samsung S9 and S9 + whilst Samsung have been in the OLED game for years! Goes to show of what happens when one rests too comfortably on one's own laurels. :)

I have the xz3 and I've found out that the OLED used in the xz3 is made by LG P-OLED technology, however it is calibrated by Sony

I think the most accurate mode in xz3 is professional, not standard. Isn't a kind of processing the standard? Basic is just SRGB on Samsung side.

3:20. You say you had both color settings in basic, yet the Sony looks more vivid, which is actually NOT what that mode is about. It's about color accuracy that mode and the Sony is anything but accurate in it's cors there.

Samsung's display sucks in basic mode, try the Adaptive Display with WQHD+ turned on and then we'll see who's better.

I have the Experia A2 Ultra after owning a few Samsungs. I see no reason to ever go back to Samsung. Samsung is great definitely but Sony is a breath of fresh air in a crowded phone market. I bought my GF the S9 and I'd take my A2 Ultra over that any day.

S9+ still looks the most slick phone and still have one of the best displays. Only Note9 is better and S10 will be more improved. One mistake. S9+ has both EIS and OIS. You can enable them both in 1080p and 4k for extreme stability. Only in 4k60fps it's only OIS.

1:50 You got it WRONG! You should have used professional mode on Sony as it uses sRGB gamut, it's written there itself. That is why Sony screen looks more vibrant as compared to Samsung basic mode which is sRGB calibrated.

90% highly positive critics for XZ3. That doesn't translate a good reality. In reality of sales, XZ3 is just so poor, you can compare their sales to a newcomer like RealMe. Problem? Irrational Price tag.
