Sony Xperia Z5 Premium vs iPhone 6s Plus - Display/Speed/Camera/Battery Test

I'm using sony since my last phone (z2) then i upgraded to z5 premiun.. here's why i choose sony.. 1st.. display.. even though its not the brightest on display.. the details are there when watching videos on close up (very sharp but not too bright).. it doesn't hurt my eyes using it.. the best thing about sony device is the auto brightness.. you won't even know that your device adjust its brightness when you go out on broad daylight and entering your home while looking on your device.. very accurate when adjusting its brightness.. 2nd.. User Interface.. Not Cartoonish.. i like it the way it was.. very simple.. 3rd.. battery.. this is why i like sony soo much.. sony has the best battery in any mobile device (i think).. I've been using my z2 for 2 yrs + and it doesn't reduce its battery usage ever since.. sony software probably the best software to take care of the battery cell.. when you are about to do something that can damage your phone, it will warn you.. even the flaps have warning when its not properly close.. i think my z2 can last for like 5 yrs and the battery will still be perfect unless you update to 6.0.1.. if stay on the latest lollipop version you'll get the 7hrs SOT on regular usage 4hrs SOT heavy gaming and camera usage.. but on z5 premium.. im still on the process of getting to know each other.. LoL 4th camera.. on my z2.. I can say the camera is not the best because its old.. but with z5 premium everything works well.. high iso sensitivity will give you a better picture with less grain at night.. when outdoors its not the sharpest but its ok.. it focuses more in video recording.. it has software image stabilization.. flawless.. you can even run while taking video on full hd (not in 4k) and it will not shake.. front camera is decent with 5mp.. very clear when using on video calls.. no complain.. 5th.. and most important for me.. SMALL APPS.. this app is one of the best.. this is why i buy sony.. I can play youtube with non-stop music when the screen is off.. in short.. all the KZbin music video is my music gallery.. i can go around my room, wearing Bluetooth headphone (xb950bt) while playing KZbin nonstop songs (usually rnb nonstop with 1hr+ playing time) while my phone screen is off.. i don't need to put mp3 songs on my device or sync to i tune to get music.. as long as i have battery and data.. i can play every songs i like to play.. (screen off and phone locked).. i really want to buy x performance.. but when i learned that it doesn't have small apps.. i bought z5 premium.. All i can say is that its always up to you when choosing.. I choose sony because i got all the things i need..

Nice professional review, the z5 premium blew the i phone 6 away in every category except battery life. The screen quality difference is massive, the i phone 6s plus contrast isn't close to the z5, the i phone makes the clouds and landscapes look washed out. Same with the camera quality, i agree the note 5 is closer to the premium but there's still a difference.

Iss. B. My cousin had the z3 when it came out (which also had been claimed to have a 2 day battery), he said it had a decent battery, better than most phones. But I think that since the z5 premium had extremely small pixels, the smaller the pixel the less power it needs to work.

The 1 second lag in loading photos for Z5 Premium is due to the X-Reality Engine kicking in, its been like that since Xperia Z. Its not due because the CPU is lagging. And also 4k needs time to kick in, from 1080p.

I have iphone 6s plus and sony z5 premium, booth phones are great. All I can say is the sony z5 premium has an overheat problem unlike the iphone 6s plus has no problem at all. For the new android marsmallow updates on sony z5 premium the stamina mode is no longer available i don't know if the Sony can fix it maybe they will make another updates i hope so.. Iphone 6s plus has exellent battery and no lags issue unlike with android smartphone.

Interesting. Either this reviewer has an issue with Sony or he has a faulty unit or is new to testing phones. His battery tests are way off; on this video and others. The Z5 only uses 4K when it needs to. Also, benchmark scores are very suggestive and rarely accurate.

I don't understand when comparing to Note 5, Xperia Z5 Premium video quality seems shaky and bluish, but when comparing to the iPhone the colour is really pop and steady. Are you sure doing this comparison in scientific measure? And also I notice the macro shot on xperia Z5 premium looks closer to subject meanwhile the focal length on xperia Z5 premium much wider comparing to the iPhone in 24mm vs 29mm

Some photographers use iPhones in daylight. Anyway, some people have different tastes in everything so I belive the camera on the Sony is great.
