The sony ui is near to stock .... i don't really agree with your skin comment ... its one of the best and the smoothest Also if you are reviewing a device after 2 months usage i find it stupid that you talk about it's specs for almost half of your video time .... so i think you need to be more informative about the usage and it's details rather then talking about it's specs ...

use the manual mode in sony xperia z5 and keep the steady shot on to recognize the difference between s6 edge and z5. Also the camera in s6 edge is more laggy compared to z5. Remember this before u give a perfect review of this phone.

It's not an experience, rather hear about actual easy or hard utility than a spec information. I actually like Sony's skin than stock. I think HTC has the easiest contact merging process, Sony merges but still needs to catch subtle details. Stock Android contacts merge is still not as detailed as I want it, like LinkedIn info without actually executing the app, only skins would get into those gritty details. Older versions Sony circa 'Timescape' did that, and HTC Sense.

The only thing making me apprehensive about continuing with Sony is the camera. I saw an s6 edge photo on instagram and it blew me away knowing it was taking from a smartphone. i hope sony ups their camera game again, they used to be the best.

I'm a user who uses a phone 3 to 3 1/2 years. so for me I think Sony xperia z5 is a better pick than Samsung galaxy s7, becz Sony knows how to optimise the phone as I'm using Sami S4 it's lagging since a month. I know I've not mention xperia x performance as I examine the device the rear is hollow as the components don't fill the space entirely and secondly the speakers when in use vibrant a lot at the rear of the device. just my opinion. what's the suggestion from your side? which one should I pick?

Good review. only thing I disagree with is your opinion on Sony's skin. I actually like their simplistic skin and recently installed the marshmallow theme from Sony and I'm even more comfortable now. How can you prefer Samsung UI's over Xperia's?! Xperia's is very close to stock! Anyway, Samsung's will grind to a sloooowwww halt just a few months after the s7 comes out. I can't prove it, but every Samsung phone i've had (5 of them), they've mysteriously become intolerably slow shortly after the the next model comes out. I wonder if it's case of planned obsolescence, 'encouraging' users to go out and purchase the newer model. In each case, I wiped Samusung's software off and install CyanogenMod, and hey presto it's as good as new! So it's definitely not the hardware that was at fault.

I can agree with the statement that water proof is rare in modern smartphone, as if water proof is outdated. In fact every phone should be water proof, except that making them water proof will require more engineering. Smartphones in Japan are all made water proof. Sharp, Toshiba, Panansonics, just to name a few. Sony is only one representative of them to the world.

Z5 is a POS mate. I can tell you that because I own one! The camera is sh1t compared to the iPhone 6 and Galaxy S6. Also the battery life is terrible on the Z5 and wouldn't even get me to 3pm in the afternoon and I'd have to recharge it. The build quality is poor also. I had my Z5 two weeks when the dedicated camera button stopped working. The glass panel on the back cracked in my pocket when I sat down and also one of the corners has fallen off! let that sink in, one of the f@&king corners has just fallen off??? Not to mention the button placement is THE worst on a smartphone I've used to date. It's now with Sony in for repairs, however the minute I get that POS back, its being listed on kijiji and its up for sale. As for Sony's skin, don't make me laugh. It's 2016 not 2012. Sony have done nothing to improve its UI. Oh and before you call me an Apple or Sony fanboy, I had the Z1 and the Z3c before the Z5. Never buying another Sony smartphone again.

Compared to the price, it's defiently not the best smartphone out there. Daily it has a great CPU performance and fantastic camera (as long as there is good lightning) but the speaker quality is awful, and sometimes it got a bit laggy and crashed. Great phone, but not worth the price.

I'll give you my reasons I'm selling mine; poor build quality (the dedicated camera button stopped working after two weeks, the back panel cracked in my pocket and one of the corners just fell off one day) awkward button placement, terrible low light performance, battery life is meh and the phone is super slippery.
