Sony ZV-E1: The One Cage to Get! | SmallRig

In this video we go over the rigging of my Sony ZVE1 with this brand new cage from Smallrig that features an extended grip and the launch of this new battery that doesn't require a charger!
The SOny ZVE1 is one of my most used video cameras these days, due to it's compact size and great video specs, but when it comes to ergonomics I start feeling the pain. Small rig has created this new cage that solves all the ergonomic issues with my Sony ZVE1. The model is the Sony ZV-E1 4257
and it will unleash your Sony ZVE1 to a whole new level.
In this video I show you my minimal setup and why I think this cage is nearly perfect.
Being able to steadily film with your sony ZVE1 is crucial, especially because I opt for not using gimbals. And this SmallRig Cage for my Sony ZVE1 allows me to grip firmly my ZV-E1 and reduce the shake. Added with the great image stabilization that the Sony ZV-E1 has you can rely on your hands doing a petty good job by having the extended grip.
Another features of the Sony ZV-E1 4257 SmallRig cage is the HDMI clam which is necessary with cameras such as the Sony ZVe1 which features a micro HDMI, which by now we all know they are prone to break.
Also SmallRig has launch this new battery for Sony NPFZ100 cameras that doesn't require a charger ! The battery has a built in charger and usbc making it ideal for on the shooting as you can charge it with pretty much any usbc power source.

Does the cage have any impact/improvement when it comes to heat dissipation? - it should in theory, as you're basically strapping a heatsync to the camera.

Small rig batteries make my Sony a7iv glitch when shooting video. Going to throw them in the trash. Oem only from now on. 😅

Been using them non stop so far so good. Went through about 15 charge cycles no issues. And they do seem to last longer.
