What’s the maximum time this camera can run continually? Also, can you run as a webcam with LCD off? I hear that keeps a dslr from overheating as quickly. Does the cam output 4K via USB? Finally, you use the USB connection, but what about HDMI? If I wanted to use that instead, does that impact its’ ability to stay on for a long time?

Just my two cents worth picked one of these up with some sigma lenses and for the money it's really a great little cam. One thing to consider if you're going to use the screen flipped out and forward facing is the usb-c and micro-hdmi jack placement. When you plug straight cables in they interfere with the viewport. Buy 90 degree cables, this will alleviate the issue somewhat. I didn't think about it till I used the camera to film a talking head video for work luckily I had some 90 degree cables lying around.

How much battery depletes when using with usb streaming?

Just used it livestreaming and it used way less than recording. Recording in 4K 30fps makes the battery last less than an hour. livestreaming I went 1 hour and I had 3/4 of battery left@@kr8s

Does anyone else notice a significant buzzing in the audio when using an external mic in streaming mode? I get the same buzzing when I'm recording while charging the camera. I think it's a flaw.

Thanks for this video! Super helpful. I was wondering if you have any videos/advice on nailing the audio in live streams. I’ve had issues with crazy audio loops and echoing when live streaming with a guest. I’m sure there must be a simple fix other than headphones but if not can you recommend headphones that have a nice mic?

Just plug in any wiread headset with mic into your computer. Just make sure they work and are not some dirt cheap alibaba stuff.

In my zoom related videos or front head angles I use an old beat up a7s m1 with a vintage lens Rokinon P 28mm f2.8. Super sharp 1080p/4k (with elgato hdmi adapter) best budget setup. Camera cost me $600 a few years ago used, lens basically free… couldn’t be happier with the quality.

5 months late however as far as my knowledge goes - yes you can use the USB-C cable however this may not charge efficently enough whilst also performing the high data transfer between the camera and the PC.. aka the cameras battery may drain faster than it charges

I got this camera and the continue battery add-on from this channel. The first recording I used it on was for an episode of my podcast. The camera overheated and shut off half way through. I changed the settings for overheating to high. But it still overheated and shut off. My studio doesn't get that hot. Has this happened to anyone else?!

I really dislike the position of the hdmi out as it interferes with the panel opening fully. My gh2 was the same and its 11 years old. Oh well can't have it all. Also make sure you're in movie mode by pressing the little white button on top with the movie cam icon before attempting to go into usb streaming mode as it won't work if you don't. Thanks!

Nice Vid. Thank you. 1 Thing to mention. MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING A DATA CABLE. Some USB cables are for charging only. This wont work. Took me days to figure out what was wrong.

Followed everything but when I went back into the menu to turn on the streaming, I got an error "Invalid in this mode. Available in movie mode" ... Added the top shoot mode option after I added the USB streaming to the same location you showed in your video at 1:19 and that got it working
