Your reviews were already good, but they keep getting better and more enjoyable. Love the new transitions/animations, and I'm happy that every time I watch a new video, the subscribers' count keeps going up - as it should! Cheers! //Rick

Thanks, Rick! It makes me happy to hear that ‘cause I can never really tell what the videos are like. I’m never really sure if what I’m doing is better, worse or the same as what I was doing, so that’s so cool to hear!

Hi Steven, great Video!!! Especially perfect with your last review of the e m1 II! As i am currently in between these two cameras! I have a A5100 and a e m5 ii. The e m5 is awesome just the autofocus and the hissing noise with external mics is realy anoying! That is why I want a camera with a headphone port! Which of both would you recommed more for filming yourself while hiking, mainly in 1080p! Thank you!!!

Thanks! Both are great but the Olympus does tend to have better image stabilization for any kind of walk and talk footage whereas the A5100 has no stabilization other than the lens’s stabilization.

Hi Steven! Great Video and great job. For a person who is going to start a youtube channel (about food and recipes) would you suggest the sony zv-e10 over the olympus em-1 mark ii? I think for photo the olympus should be superior but for video? My understanding is the sony zv-e10 wins for low light and shallow depth of field but lose in stabilization, rolling shutter and colors straight out of the cameras while 4k from both cameras looks really sharp in both cameras (maybe olympus wins in 1080p details). I feel that the 2 cons of the olympus can solved at least partially by pairing it with a good lens like the sigma 16mm 1.4 while the problems of the zv-e10 requires more work to be fixed. So what would you choose between the 2 in this particular use case? Also in terms of easy of use and best video image quality straight out of the camera if you leave everything in auto who wins olympus or sony?

How does this compare to the EM1 MkII

At this price, 4k 30 has further 1.3x crop, very soft 1080, no Evf, no ibis. Sorry, I have to pass.Catalyst browse is almost useless as there's no batch conversion (you have to covert each clip one by one )

👍 I got to try out the zv1 last week and was really impressed. I'd lean toward that camera do to the lens simplicity, but I'd imagine the E10 is a big step up in IQ no?

Yeah, the jump from one inch sensor to APS-C actually does make a noticeable difference. Having said that, the ZV1 is such a great camera with a ton of cool features.

Love the new video. So creative! My wife hates her m50 for photography. I recently saw a video saying you should buy flagships (or any age). That said - do you think the em-1 mark II is a better camera than either of those for photography? Love the stuff man! Keep it up (PS - just found out my wife has never heard of Olympus and has heard of literally every other camera brand. Lol.)

Wow, thanks! And it’s funny but for the past few months (before the ZV-E10) I’ve only brought two cameras with me every day and that’s the Canon M50 and the Olympus E-M1 Mark II. The Olympus just feels better in every way. I always talk about those intangible qualities you won’t find on a spec sheet and the Olympus has this crazy dampened shutter that feels so amazing. Like, every click just feels like magic. lol The only thing that bums me out with the Olympus is a lack of affordable fast primes. On the M50 I always use the Sigma 16mm f1.4 and the Viltrox 56mm f1.4 and those are amazing. With the Olympus, the only 1.4 lens I have is the Panasonic / Leica 25mm f1.4. I’d really like the 12mm f1.4 version of that but it’s still selling for around $800 used. I like the images I get from the M50, but the experience just feels cold and impersonal. Whereas, the Olympus feels both professional and genuinely fun.
