didn't work for me at first. But then I realized I was using a micro usb charging cable instead of the data transfer cable that came with my camera! The data transfer cable that came with my camera worked!!

My M3 Gimbal isn't charging my Sony ZV 1. I have the correct cable connecting the camera to the M3. I can start and stop recording using the M3, but for some reason, the M3 is not charging the camera. Must be a settings issue? I've tried a couple of different settings, but no luck yet. Suggestions? WE are going to Europe soon and I'd like the gimbal charging the camera so I don't have to change batteries every half hour.

I worked with Sony online and they totally walked me through my camera problems. I needed to update version and download webcam. This fixed my problem. Yours may be different, but Sony chat works.

@@candacetroystudios I already did the updates. There was no fix, you just had to tweak a myriad of configuration settings to get it to work. The solution is right here in PickleNinja's video. It had nothing to do with the updates (which I had already done).

I have a problem with my ZV1, I had it plugged in to my laptop so I could stream using it. Thn I turned it on again and its showing a blank screen. I tried the USB Reset option but it literally does nothing. Not sure what I should do now :/

So you don't need a camlink? Did you just put the camera with usb and the quality was that?

No you need a Camlink, but Sony does have a webcam software you can use but its not as good.

my sony zv1 doesn't want to connect to my MacBook pro anymore. it used to work and then boom - just stopped working. I tried changing settings again but nothing! does anyone know what can I DO? I tried different MacBooks and not working on any of them. I tried changing the usb connection to Auto - then MTP - not working on both. the camera does look like it gets power from the laptop but it wont show as connected wit usb on the screen and also the laptop itself doesn't show it in external devices in finder. what can I do, I need help please.
