I believe that ppl may be using the wrong cord to try and upload to computer, which was my case. The cord that is used to transfer is a total difference cord, the one used to charge is different. Find the right one

Hi, I'm a mac user but I'm sure it will be the same. Your external drive shows up in FINDER as just another location, just drag and drop straight there. I only work in this way, I create my project folders first on a SSD that is connected with a USB-C and work off that, never the computer. Fast and efficient way if working.

Hi Kay, if I'm understanding you correctly. You transfer the files and then when you've disconnected the camera your files will be on the computer and camera unless you then format the camera.

@Kay Marie sorry to hear that. It's good when you have a system for your workflow. I have folders already prepared on the computer which I duplicate for every project. A project folder and in that a folder for camera, audio, music, research, graphics, rejected, screen recordings. It then makes it quick, easy and organised.

I’m having the same problem. I can get the still images to my PC by plugging the memory card into the PC. However, I must “register” the camera to enable transfer of videos. I can’t do this because the PC wont recognize the camera as being connected. I’ll try the instructions from the video and see if that gets me over the hump.

I'm travelling right now, but from memory I think you need to set the connection to mass storage and not charging. Go to suitcase and check there.

Hello mate. I don't think it Will be anything to do with the transfer. I'm guessing you have a setting that is wrong. For example, you're using a very high ISO for example. But the quality probably looks ok on the screen on the camera. Because it is small it looks ok.

Ah, yes transferring to phone will do that. But not to computer. Try putting your card into your computer or card reader. And test.

Someone can help me? I got my Sony a6500 but once I export photos to my macOS or windows Pc these photos get colored (as system would apply a bad colorgrading making it looks like a bad jpg photo) I made the settings u showed with raw, srgb and 4K 100Mb but it is still happening (I tried changing srgb for adobe rgb but happens the same/ I just tried because is for my objective is more useful srgb files) Someone knows how avoid system get my raw-srgb photos color grading by itself? It happens just with photos, video keep as I get them done on flat color grading to be able to edit later on Final Cut, but photos are giving me this pain in the head 🥲

Sounds annoying. I'm not sure, I assume they look OK on the back of the camera. Could it be the software your viewing them in? Have you tried shooting a jpg and transferring that? Have you tried taking the card out and putting it into the computer and drag & drop on to your computer and view? What happens if you open the file in Lightroom?

Hi there, it's hard to know what the problem is. It sounds like you need to make sure the connnect to mobile is off and USB connection is the right setting. Check under CONNECTIONS and in the SUITCASE icon.

Use card reader to check images are being seen as an external drive on computer to be sure computer is viewing it, could be computer blocking.
