At first I didn't understand why she was sad about her robot's death, because, you know, robots can be rebuilt, but I think now I do. Her father was the one who created that robot, piece by piece and she changed nothing about it. But...when the robot, the last piece of her father, was destroyed, I think for her, it was like losing him all over again, especially because she knew even if she could rebuild it, it would be never be the same thing anymore. His fingerprints would no longer be in the project.

I don’t know if anyone mentioned this but at around 2:07, Peni mentioned that she has a psychic link to the spider so she feels what the SP//dr feeling, so when the Scorpion ripped of the suit’s arm it feels like her own arm got ripped out of her.

Some other trivia, the original Into the Spider verse comics that this movie was based on, she was invented for the event, and her robot (as seen in some the concept) was more like traditional human mecha design and the anime style was invented for the movie, the comic just had her be a normal Japanese girl looking no different from 616 Spider Man or Spider Gwen, she didn't stand out visually like Spider Ham would. But when you hear her origins about a japanese school girl psychically linked to a spider & piloting a giant robot, it just sounds very anime. Which combined with the silliness that is Spider Ham & the fan favorite Spider-Man Noir all three having different extreme visual styles makes for good fun.
