I think BTS got praise bcz it was a reaction from their fandom which is largely open minded. Red velvet’s reaction was from the general Korean public. Also feminism in Korea is linked with radical women and even women superiority (sometimes) so this caused completely different reaction

@@janhavishigwan1347 no i think its more than Taylor swifts situation. Swift was trying to get back ownership of her masters, while jyp outright stole the songs Jayb wrote, then sold them as his own intellectual property. Swift was still named as the intellectual artist in her songs she just didn't own the masters because the contract was unfair. In Jayb’s case he isn’t listed as the person who even ever wrote them. Also Jayb is American while jyp is Korean in Korea and so also I believe the crap contracts say he owns whatever his idols and trainee’s write. Its way more difficult. Jayb has to decide if he’s willing to tie up that much money and resources for lawyers or just walk away. Since i haven’t heard of him starting legal proceedings he’s probably walking away sadly. Korean law favours the Korean over a foreigner and it doesn't matter is Jayb is Asian descent, he is American born raised and citizenship therefore he is the foreigner.

I'm pretty sure that was an uncomfortable laugh lol. Just look at his expression and they way he usually laughs. The only time he wanted Jihyo to lose weight was for dancing. As a dancer, you are always told to keep at a lighter weight because it makes your moves more smooth. When you lose weight, you lose uneccessary fat which is good for your muscle mass because you can move more lightly. Your weight doesn't make you a bad dancer but if you lose the uneccessary weight, you can become better at it. He hasn't really fat shamed Jihyo like people make it seem.

Those two were very passionate with their rapping, they shouldn't be put down just because those "rappers" felt that idols were beneath them. RM and Suga were commendable with how well they handled the interview. They cruised through those people's insecurities and remained humble, understanding despite those people being dismissive of their struggles and experiences when they were starting and most importantly, they were more mature than those who were probably twice their age. This is a great video: Doni and Coni have also been disrespectful and rude to Stray Kids. They literally said Hyunjin is a better rapper than Changbin. HOW DARE YOU? Y'all might think that's preference but they were actually putting him down. Changbin can rap faster than their WiFi. There was segment where they had to do something involving Korean , I don't exactly remember. The thing is, they deliberately picked Felix who wasn't fluent in Korean at the time. Chan asked if he could participate as he's been in Korea for 10 years so he was more fluent in the language but they refused. They yelled at Felix when he got it wrong. Chan was standing there unable to do anything. The Jihyo one reminded me of what Ryujin said about the industry. She spoke about the fact that girls HAD to be a certain size in the industry all due to appearance, not because it would help them dance or be better. JYP , I get that you may not have liked those songs but why you're acting like your way is the way to go? You didn't even listen to the entire thing. It was really disrespectful the way ARMY and the rapper treated BTS. I'm happy Namjoon and the boys went on their own path. Artists like IU, Hyolyn, Dean, GFriend's Yuju, EXO's Xiumin, EXID's Hani, BTS's J-Hope, and BTOB's Sungjae were all rejected by JYP, and several more left the company to train/debut in other companies, such as CL, Chungha, Somi, Monsta X's Shownu and BTOB's Peniel. Also that and all the brand stuff is all about business marketing (making $ from their audience) to fund the costs of producing future music, travel, and expenses. Dude had 0 clue about business it seems and likely why he had no where to put out his music cuz soundcloud didnt even exist then. Was he slangin cds at the gas station? They talking about hip hop like it is something they created. Music has diversity even in one particular genre and every artist has his own way of interpreting it. The excuse of sticking to the old norms of music to belittle others is so disgusting. And the way they kept trying to drag them down and would cut them off only when joonie or yoongi tried to explain clearly showed that they were afraid that they might prove their comments invalid. Also, his way of describing idols is so problematic. It's like he thinks they aren't worthy of being rappers. Anyway, he had got his answer slapped on his face a long time ago already. And his fake ass apology wasn't sincere at all. To me, it looked as though he was scared of armys and hence chose to bow down.

(13:00) honestly, that moment was so awkward and it goes on for like 5+ min. Like imagine how uncomfortable BTS was that entire time. The interviewer tried to make fun of BTS for thinking they had a hip hop album but being wrong and actually having a “rap album” yet he couldn’t even say why the album didn’t fit into the hip hop category. The interviewer was so fcking vague with the description of hip hop. Is hip hop only macho and loud? Being an idol doesn’t mean that your music can’t be more than generic pop music. And I do I get that it may be hard to explain categories of music but he literally had no real description. Even if it wasn’t hip hop and it was just rap, he’s arguing/making fun of a bunch of *teenagers,* that are just doing what they signed up for and worked really hard to get a spot in the group. It’s not like BTS was answering the questions rudely or they were coming off as disrespectful so there was really no reason for the interviewers to be so mean.
