The show's creative team wanted fans to be heartbroken about Dr. Melendez death...and they got exactly what they wanted....i was devastated after his death...killing a character like that made me hate the show...I tried to watch the remaining episodes for Sean but i find the new characters a little bit annoying... so i stopped watching after some episodes of season 4...🙌

It's a teaching hospital. The lobby is for surgical residents and other doctors to watch how the surgical procedures are done. It's like some college classrooms where the students sit and the professors are so all the students can see.
