Love seeing all these great looking EMDs! Especially the cabless SD40 rebuild BN did and sold to the SOO, and all those high-hood ex-NW EMD leasers. Great stuff in these 90s videos!

I believe NW traded their sd35s for some other locomotive
@jefftoft55683 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that’s why I said they were trade ins, a lot of railroads did that back then.

I have to say the milwaukee road bandits stood the test of time and worked a good many years after the MILW was long gone . And as for the QCA they saw a lot of changes between the Rock going out of business and the Milwaukee becoming the Soo . I dont think anyone has taken in to account the Merger of the BN as a player in the downfall of the other granger roads .....
@jefftoft55683 жыл бұрын
And after SOO the IMRL took this line and then IC&E and now CP. This line has been on a roller coaster. Make your head swim.
@AJmx27020013 жыл бұрын
@@jefftoft5568 Well and as i was told by the top brass that ran the CNW said that the UP had ran the bid up on the milwaukee lines so high that no one could afford it ... and thats why the line was spun off so many times .. The UP also could have bailed out the rock but they let it fall apart and got most of the equipment and lines for just pennies a few years later
