I think Hulvey, he can mix singing, rapping and worship perfectly. His music also has longevity, which I think a lot of these other artists lack. IF he gives 3-4 more quality albums, he could be in the mix

I agree with the first and third picks, especially everything you said about dyl. But not mentioning 1K Phew at all is crazy 😭 Great job on the video tho. And I agree that CHH probably doesn't need one face for it like a Lecrae.

Dude! I love it when I can find a video that just talks about CHH, but your not just doing that, your also pushing the boundaries of quality and story telling! I can see the love for your craft in the editing, keep it up man! Also 20:50 "showed that it was possible to infuse hip hop and worship", I would encourage this generation of chh listeners to go check out Beautiful Eulogy you guys seriously slept on them, they are in my opinion the best at mixing worship and hip hop but halves is great as well!

The thing abt these 3 artists is that all of them haven’t dropped an album in a fat minute I could really see nobigdyl and Hulvey having an even bigger explosion in popularity after they drop. They’ve both evolved so much since their last projects too. I definitely think their best days are ahead of them.
@fromplacetoplace20082 ай бұрын
Hulvey's album is to drop in September titled "CRY." I like nobigdyl but I feel like his music doesn't age as well as Hulvey's, which is why I think Hulvey will be bigger in the future.
@k-dawgwestmore46432 ай бұрын
@@fromplacetoplace2008 I disagree. nobigdyl’s newest album is phenomenal. I love both artists but I feel like Hulvey makes music for youth groups but nobigdyl makes music for young adults. Hulvey makes a lot of worship rap songs about praising Jesus whereas nobigdyl makes a lot of real songs about struggling w/ life stuff. At least in recent years. And there are still some exceptions there.

I appreciate your list sir. However, I would have switched KB and Dyl.. As much as I enjoy Dyl’s music, I don’t believe it influences listeners faith as much as KB, Hulvey, or Miles. Those dudes are leading people to worship at their shows. Just my opinion though. Also, I realize there’s more to it than just that, I just feel if we are getting back to roots of CHH and the impact it has on people’s souls, it needs to be more of that, that we are looking for in a Christian Hip Hop leader. Great video man. Watched the entire thing! Subbing now!

This was indeed a joyride of a documentary! Truly amazing, bro. Chef's kiss tier. I have enjoyed other videos of yours in this form, and I knew it then, "This manz is special special." I was enticed by the title, and in its opening, I knew, "Oh! 'Dis one 'dese." It was felt the whole way through. I agree that your top three picks could certainly be the next "'Dat dude" of CHH. Myles was the first that had crossed my mind, and it felt great to have you mention him. Dyl is moving krazy. I was a bit surprised by Hulvey, yet no cap, I can see it. Your sense of humor is appreciated as well, bro. Lecrae and LeBron is certainly interesting.. lol Thank you for your gift of creativity, bro! I am geeked for what more you have in store for us. ❤️🔥☺

This video and your walk through of CHH was incredible. I totally concur that we don't need a face, but I do think we need a big 3, or 4-5 names who are at the head of the space. I think. The two that you had mentioned, Nobigdyl and Hulvey, I also agree are the heads of the genre. I still don't think anybody has taken the mantle yet... Multiple artists are all at the same level. No on has grabbed the leadership. Hulvey I think is close, but we need to see who wants to be one of the main leaders in the space. Miles Minnick is also someone who absolutely wants to be one of the leaders of the space.

I would say if anyone has the music quality and the pure heart for the gospel that could stand up as the face of CHH it would be Scootie Wop. But would he want to? That idk. What I mean is, I don’t get the vibe off him that he’s shooting for any kind of “high position” of esteem like lecrae has kind of garnered. But to tail from that, Lecrae didn’t know he would be the face of CHH to the world when he started out. But his success, ability to form a culture like 116/Unashamed and networking brought him there. Scootie has already shown how he’s a Big Dawg with how well he can produce (He basically was head producer of HGA2), but also how versatile he can be vocally and sonically in multiple genres. He also is running STARRBABY WRLDWD and putting in other artists which could be the beginnings of a new label in gospel rap. Not only that but he’s gonna be dipping into fashion and product advertisement for his merch. All of that on top of his authenticity and not even tryna be funny, his reach in the streets and how well he can connect and relate his content to the world- but also the HIP HOP world. He’s not cookie cutter in any way. That’s just an analysis. And that’s only if CHH doesn’t completely transform before he hits crae level. What I mean by that is, I believe things are about to completely shift and transform in- not only CHH but in the Body of Christ. I believe that we are on the heels of a great outpouring of the Spirit of God in the world. The kind that will form its own culture and influence nations for the Kingdom. So that means to me that instead of CHH just living in the shadow of secular rap, it will become its own entity. It will shake the music industry, because it will ride on the shoulders of a tangible spiritual movement that will sweep the nations, like Secular Hip Hop has shaped the culture for the longest with no rival. People may disagree that we in the shadow of secular but be honest, people outside the church don’t see CHH as anything but a branch of Hip Hop, like a side quest. Christians just in they own lane. But I believe this video is key because maybe we won’t get another Lecrae but we will get a wave of artists that God is rising up to lead us into our portion of the next great revival of our culture and the world.

I will say my first Christian hip-hop artist I was interduce by was NF he cool but I wasn't saved at the time so I didn't really care to listen now since I am saved. I will say that rafa colon and Lazarus! both to me have helped me with staying to being a Christian because music is a big part of my life and I trust Christ bro BLESSED me with some amazing artist glory to god man. If you are seeing this link or reply with the music you like or if you know someone underrated LMK. Also y'all need to check out Chosen Jigg and Akkadyn.T both are great fr fr!
I think for an artist to replace Lecrae they have to also have to have a mainstream pull as much or better than Lecrae. And for me me there are only two artists that I can think of Andy Mineo and Dee-1. Both have those factors to them

I haven't watched this video yet, but I do want to give my take on this. I believe Lecrae overall has the best production and albums in chh(All comes together, no church in a while, cc4, and restoration are the main ones I'm talking about) These albums blow A lot of albums I have listened to out of the water. CC4 is arguably his best album of all time and if he keeps up with this consistency I don't see anyone passing him. I will for the sake of time name one creator who I see 100% can replace Lecrae and that is Andy Mineo. He literally stopped dropping after his best album. If he just dropped he can easily become that face. He has his own unique style and sound that is easily consummable and fresh.
@fromplacetoplace20082 ай бұрын
Andy is a good one, but I feel like his fanbase has matured and solidified. I don't see him growing MUCH more than he already is. Hulvey is the best I can think of, his music is connecting, catchy, and ages well. If he gives 3-4 more quality albums, he could possibly be in the new GOAT conversation.

The problem with lacrae was 2015. Kendrick and racism in the news social commentary. I thought the album was fine during that time but he used it as an excuse to drink and do drugs because the mean Christians didnt like his opinions on that stuff. Which was obviously going to happen in this space sadly.
