I say look at the rest of the Big 12 that goes up against SEC teams outside of Georgia and Bama. Let’s not act like the Big 12 isn’t competitive. They haven’t been just competitive but have fared well against other SEC opponents. The size is definitely a difference but the Big 12 also has challenges over this last decade than the SEC. SEC adapted their offenses based on the success of Big 12 offenses. Big 12 has always had top tier coaching and have also been great developmental programs that have older players historically on their rosters which we have seen even this last year in Michigan of what a developed older roster can do. A lot of SEC fans and talking heads have this conception that OU hasn’t played competitive football at all and p,aging in thenSEC is going to be some kind of shock when our recruits have been playing against all of these SEC recruits their whole lives. So one they won’t be and aren’t intimidated and two our roster is filled with more blue chip players other than 3 SEC teams with one of those being g A&M and we have seen the lack of development and success of their high end talent that you won’t see with ours. We are going to be more than fine and it’s only “scary” when you listen and buy into this narrative that it will be such a different level of football we won’t know what to do or how to compete at that level and to me that’s just ridiculous and the majority of the SEC riding on the coattails of 2 consistently good programs which is why they chant SEC instead of their own school. I can’t see OU fans chanting SEC as our success speaks for itself and we do t have to attach our names to the top tier programs. There is no question the SEC is the best most talented conference but we are Oklahoma and not Texas tech. We will be just fine and the OU fans need to expect that, demand that and celebrate that. There should be ZERO fear. We are The University of Oklahoma. The winningest program in the modern era. No other SEC team can say that. We are a top tier program, have been for over 100 years and you can see with the talent we continue to bring in that we will continue to be well into the future. Trust me if UT is fine, Oklahoma 2ill be more than fine. BV has had a better record in his first 2 years at OU than Sark did in his first two years with the same record of 1-1 against each other with one of those games playing with a tight end at QB. Sark has had a comp,Emely different narrative than BV even after it’s his first 10 win season in his career as well as only UT’s second ten win season in what, 12 years? It’s funny how the narratives have changed so quick even when those narratives only stand on the back of one, the first bad season in a qtr century. Comedic at best

Playing a bowl game is different than playing a 8 game SEC schedule. I am a OU fan in Mississippi some of yall OU fans running your mouth are going to be in for a rude awaking. OU will be competive in the SEC but in no means run the league like some fans think.

On a consistency level, there are only really two programs that are up there with OU, Bama and Ohio St. There is only one Oklahoma. BOOMER!
