I agree. I was a huge sports fan growing up. I followed pretty much all sports, pro and college. Because of the money, the only sport I still follow is college football. I am close to checking out on that too because of the portal and NIL. I know a lot of other guys who feel the same way. They better fix this fast, or they are going to lose a significant part of their fan base.

​@@blackwind6317Comparing OU to GA is crazy. GA is a contender every year now and has the ability to get 5 stars and develop them and pick and choose from the portal based on their needs. When you are rebuilding from the ground up ( and make no mistake OU is) you better dig in the portal and get the best you can afford, especially in the SEC. Venables is from that Dabo tree and they don't necessarily like this new era. I am not sure that old school thinking is sustainable. Saban didn't and got out of Dodge.

It is upsetting that Coach V said all the injured receivers that were our production in 23 would be back and then all but 2 are gone. It is a bad look and sends the message to portal players that something is going on in that room.

I love how virtually every person I have talked to says all these guys leaving is part of the plan/OU got rid of them.. But this video, and jsut like I try to tell these people, completely conflicts with that claim. You heard it, BV thought those guys would be back and then says he doesn't know what happened. Disarray is the only way you can describe the wide receiver room they talk about Emmett Jones having a culture and a vibe and it was one of the best keep drinking the Kool-Aid. There have been many freshmen receivers make significant contributions and you look at the receivers gonna start in the bowl game evaluation versus recruiting versus development. Not sure if any of it is working???

Starting to feel like I have 1 foot out the door on CFB. Gave up the nfl a few years ago when they woke up. CFB and this nil pay to play, greed, no loyalty is a joke and will cause schools to fail, not sustainable at all for coaches, players, booster or fans. Eventually people will stop really caring. You guys who are having a hard time breathing over OU football need to do the rest of us a favor and just come back next August. Some of you are making being an OU fan unbearable. Embarrassing to have a season like we did but to then back it up with the embarrassing behavior by certain fans just adds to the misery. Fans are acting so irrationally with the emotional maturity of an adolescent at best that from the outside looking in, OU fans have serious psychological issues. A lot of people need to take a break right now. Look in the mirror and ask yourself if you’re one of those fans because if you are, please do is the favor of doing so.

We expect to not have to get lucky to get to .500. We'll be top 10 in defense, problem is that it will be wasted if you have a hillbilly offense featuring TE jet sweeps. We bid enough and got Fasusi, this time next year this same podcast could be talking about how we lost him. That's where college football is. I'm a BV guy and he's whiffed on so much shit but his success might come down how large the NIL fund is on an annual basis and how successful we are in free agency.
