I just bought a new Gen2 P32 yesterday. Took it to the range for it's test flight. 50 rounds of Aguila 71gr ball ammo with no failures what so ever. Ran flawless. Shot it at 5 yards, less than 1 inch groups slow fire, 4 inch groups rapid fire. Next range trip will be at 7 and 10 yards, but anticipate acceptable accuracy. For the money, this little pistol is hard to beat.

Personally, I think that the .32 ACP is an underrated cartridge. Now, I'm not saying that it's a powerhouse. However, here's the thing...you don't see very many pocket .32s on the market. Plenty of pocket .380s, and that's awesome, but these polymer framed pocket pistols in .380 ACP can be a handful for some individuals. I don't feel like someone should have to make the jump from .380 to .22. .32 ACP is a nice, happy medium. Less recoil than a .380, and more power than a .22. It would be awesome to see more firearms and ammunition manufacturers release more options in .32 ACP. I keep a .45 handy, but there are people who have a hard time with larger calibers, and even medium calibers. The Kel-Tec P32 is among those that offer a choice for that demographic.

12 years later; I bought a p32 about six months ago and have put 300 rounds through it. There have been zero problems absent a couple of rim lock jams. This is a situation which has to be considered. Because hollow points are a little shorter than a fmj round there is a possibility of the rims locking together and creating a pretty serious jam. Most reviewers and I agree, say to use fmj ammunition as hollow points just don’t expand at the speeds that a 32 produces and if they do expand they just don’t penetrate enough. Stick with fmj. You get good penetration and, because of the length of the cartridge you don’t have the rim lock problem. With fmj I have not had any malfunctions at all! The other thing to consider is recoil. Micro 9’s and even pocket 380’s try to jump out of your hand when you fire them and in the case of the micro 9’s down right hurts. If you don’t like shooting the gun you won’t practice with it and with the mouse gun practice is essential! It was your video which convinced me to buy the p32 and I couldn’t be happier, thanks for your efforts.

FMJ is the only way to go with the P32. Hollow points can rim lock because they're shorter than FMJ rounds. Kelt-tec used to sell a magazine modification kit that was essentially a plastic spacer placed vertically along the backside of the mag. This pushed the hollow points to the front o the magazine and didn't let them move back and forth and rim lock. Kel-tec no longer sells the modification kit. I tried it for a while and removed it and now shoot only FMJ. It's a great pistol and I never go anywhere without it.

The PF9 was in a nice Galco Miami Classic knock off under the outer layer. Both were consistent and dependable. Had a Ruger LCR in .22 mag I'd used once in a while as well just to change things up. Moved to New Zealand in 2016, so I gave all my guns and ammo to my son. I had a Ruger 10/22 w/4 25 rd banana mags and a 50 rd drum, Taurus Judge, KT P11, Beretta Cats Tom and Bob in.32 and .25, MB Maverick 20 gauge PA. New Zealand restrictions are ridiculous. You have to be a member of a shooting club, have 4 of your neighbors vouch for your character as to whether they would feel safe with your possessing firearms, submit to a mental health exam, agree to a visit and interview by the police, verify to police your gun safe and keep a register of all rifles and ammunition. You have maintain a stamped, current verification by your gun club that you target practice at least once per month. EVERYTHING related to firearms including cases, bags cleaning rods, dummy rounds, gun oil, etc. has to be included in your active registry. You have to maintain an active hunting license renewal and verified proof to have hunted at least bi-yearly. I just said, "Fck it, I'll carry a spear." lol

Thinking of each .32 as a single 00 Buckshot pellet, landing 8 shots should have the same effect as a spread of 12-gauge 00-Buck. I'm not saying a little P-32 is better than a pump shotgun, I'm just saying a mag dump of a P-32 should deter an attacker as much as a single hit from a shotgun. They could even add Tru Glo Tritium sights on them. Which i added to my Bodyguard 380. Excellent sights. An LCP Max .32 could be interesting. Add those Bodyguard 380 night sights with a 10rd magazine thats rated for buffalo bore 75gr Hardcast. Now thats really good. The NAA Guardian should handle that load. The .32 ACP has its place. Another good load is the Hornady XTP 60gr. That works great in a Seecamp

Just found one of these brand-new in a gun store today. Hard to find on the internet. After de-boxing it, I THINK I'M IN LOVE. I was a bit worried about the double-action trigger, but when I dry fired it, it was dead level and no problem whatsoever. This thing is so tiny that you can carry in ANYWHERE, in your front pocket, back pocket, wig, purse, or in your dentures, and it will fit (this gun would be IDEAL for a woman, or a man with small hands). Best of all, you don't even need a holster to carry this thing. I just tried placing it in my thin summer pants and it doesn't even print at all!! That said, I think I'm going to buy a pocket holster to protect the trigger and finish anyway. The next step is to take it out to the range, but after speaking with the store guy, this thing has no reliability problems whatsoever. I'm super pleased with the purchase.

I still love the 1903 hammerless Colt 32, mine was passed down from my grandfather, maybe thats why I like it so much. Just a fun gun and perfect conceal carry

Been carrying this pistol in my pocket for 11 years. Great little pistol but I would suggest running a lot of rounds in this pistol to make sure that it functions properly before carrying. Mine is a little choosey about ammo. I had several stoppages with FMJ and Win Silvertips. I found Speer Gold Dots work best in mine. I ran over 100 rounds of Gold Dot without a stoppage.

Kel-Tec based the P3AT on this gun. Ruger then made an almost exact copy in the LCP (not the LCP 2). I have a P32 and an LCP. My Alabama pocket holster will hold both pistols perfectly. Also I recommend the Lehigh Defense solid copper bullets. They have consistent penetration that meets FBI standards, and they produce a wider wound cavity than ball ammo. Underwood also loads this bullet, and those are the ones I buy.

I have the first generation of this pistol. It had a smaller ejector, and different sights. I think they made a big inprovment on the ejector, but made a major step back on the sights. Well, I guess you can not have your cake and eat it too.

I carry my P32 more often than all my 9mm carry pistols. With the pocket clip option I don’t need any sort of holster. I have pinky extensions on my 7 round mags, as well as some 10 round mags. I cut some inner tube and it covers the grip perfectly adding a little extra grip and thickness. I would never get rid of this gem. In the low crime world where I live, I don’t think I’d ever need more.....but I sure have bigger and badder, they just stay home most of the time.

years ago I had one. its not a bad pistol the magazines didn't like hollowpoints. but firing 73 gr fmj it worked well, and it was surprisingly accurate at 7 yrd. whats nice is how small and thin it is, 32 acp isnt much but it is effective at close range depending on shot placement. good pocket or purse pistol on a budget

I just ordered a parkerized p32 for my wife's cc and a hard chromed as my back up and/or pocket gun for summer use and for quick runs to the store. we're very excited over this gun. picked .32 for my wife. any larger is just too much recoil for my wife in guns this size. Her beretta 3032 is just too wide for daily comfy carry. I picked this gun because I want to carry every time even when i don't want to get dressed up to accommodate carrying a gun.

I went back to the historical records. John Browning believed that it 12 ft a 25 caliber pistol would scare or hurt a person what are 32 ACP would kill a man and a 380 ACP would kill a man at 15 meters

Kel-Tec has a well deserved reputation for making cheap crap. I love old .32acp pistols. I was introduced to this gun by of all people "Cops" a lot of police I know mostly plain clothes , carry this as their back-up. I bought one in 2012 put about 500+ rounds through I love it!

From what I've seen the real weak point in the gun is the recoil spring pin which is made of a flimsy plastic. The fix I saw, (which with my machining and mechanical back ground would be easy) was to get a stainless steel nail the same diameter as the pin, chuck it up in a drill with the head of the nail facing out and then to run it on an abrasive surface until the head is taken down the the correct diameter, lightly sand the edges to de burr, clip the shank to the right length and de burr the end. You've just recreated the pin in long lasting stainless steel.

Sootch how about doing a ballistics test in gel on the Corbon Pwrball 55gr .32 acp ammo? I would like to see how well it does. I have two .32 acp pistols and wondering if they are worth using. Also maybe shoot a few mags of the Pwrball ammo to see if it shoots well?

I have the P32 and I love it. I have 3 other larger pistols but this is the one I have on me most of the time since it is so easy to carry in my pocket. I am considering buying a crimson trace for it.

Sootch, NutnFancy, and Mr. Guns and Gear helped me make the decision on my pistol and rifle and I'm a very happy man indeed👍😁. Not to mention, more than a few European countries chose .32 as their main combat pistol between WWI and WWII and even after. So it has to be a good cartridge.

I think it may have revolutionized the superlight subcompact market when it hit the shelves, still hard to find something lighter and as small save maybe the new ruger or smith 380s which were a shameless direct copy of this weapon. Even the new weapons argueably don't have the same feel as the P-32. Thank you for letting us look at this fine little weapon. :-)

I think the 32auto IS the perfect pocket round because of large 30 caliber diameter plus very manageable recoil for small pocket pistols!!!

This is the perfect pocket gun for somebody that’s a novice shooter. 380 can be challenging to manage in similarly sized handguns but .32 is a breeze to shoot

I think this Kel-Tec p32 is a great gun when you want the lightest smallest self protection available I own the Gen one which I prefer over the Gen 2. But both will work I carry it in the pocket in a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster.. it's also great for people who want a small pocket pistol like an LCP 380 but the 380 is a very snappy recoil in a tiny gun so the Kel-Tec .32 would be a great option for someone who couldn't handle the snappy 380 recoil.. but still wants a small handy light pocket pistol

Sootch, I'd like to see you do a video on what 4 handguns you would own if you could only have 4. Mine would be Kel Tec P-32, Bersa Thunder P-32, Ruger LC380 and Rucger LCRx in .22 mag.

Hey scotch if e had one of these for seems like around 10 years . I got it from a police officer who said it was his back up ankle pistol . I did some work for him on his house and we bartered . Also got a nice .22 bolt savage rifle . Prob $100 is what I thought . Anyways the p 32 kel tec is great for the pocket , no holster needed , so light for summer . I usually carry a 9mm when I do carry . In the woods always have a 9 on me . So funny story . One time I was messing with the p32 and had a clip for the gun like a knife clip and I popped out the wrong pin and had to have a gunsmith fix it for $20 and he said it was a a pain in the ass , lol. The lesson I learned was not to rush into anything . Study it first and know the guns . How they operate , how to disassemble and reassemble assemble because they’re all different . So for me around the house I would grabbing a shotgun for home defense or the judge with 000 410 shells . I forget how many 9mm size balls come out but imo it’s a good gun to have for its versaltility in a lenses to shoot different rounds . You’re a gun dude , you know the gun I m talking about , lol. A pistol that shots a 410 shell is not for everyone 😬

Great video Sootch, it looks like a good little gun. Personally I would not go below a .380. I am looking at my different options for one now. I am currently using a XD 40 sub compact which I feel it a GREAT gun but in the summertime I would like something smaller. Oh by the way...."Long live the Republic"!!!
