Wow, this is incredibly clean and driven! There are a few notes/chords you’ve mislearned (it’s easy to do, since most editions of his music are hard to read), so you should carefully go through the score while playing through this slowly to correct them, but that won’t be too hard to do. Keep up the great work! Any other Alkan pieces you are learning/playing?

Thank you for your feedback! The edition I use is from the internet... I will be more precise with the score in the future... Yes, I have learned a lot of Alkan's works because I really like them.

I agree, but to be fair, the majority of the pianists who record Allegro Barbaro (in a one shot video take) tend to butcher the second last section. Instead of hearing the third voice, you just hear a muddied up scale. No big deal for Sophie though, she has lots of time to improve and will be one of the best Alkan players if she keeps at it.

Just wondering, how did you get your piano tuned and maintained during the lockdown? Don’t think any piano tuners were allowed to work during that time.
