Even if one stays at home without having to go to work... I found out, that it`s impossible to keep everything clean 24/7. You finally come to one end and you have to begin at the beginning. Excellent job for the first pass. It looked as though most of it was just dirty dishes that needed to be loaded in the dishwasher. I don't see filth, I just see "lived in". Your granite counter tops are gorgeous.

Sophia.....like I've said before....you are not alone.....I really believe that is the life of a full time working mother and wife....its hard when you work outside the house full time...especially when you spend a long time traveling back and forth from work. I just deeped clean our bedroom yesterday....then took my mom and sister shopping....which took 5hrs....today I golfed from 6:45am and didn't get home until 2:45pm. Now Im trying to eat and relax but I need to throw another load of laundry into the washer....Im tired.....thanks for sharing Sophia....

personally i would keep the pets biscuits in the "pet zone". On one of the shelves above the dog crate. It also keeps it seperate from the rest of the kitchen and food.

Sophia - LOVE your channel (new subscriber here). You speak for so many of us! The one thing I have learned to do is to re-set my kitchen counter/sink EVERY night without fail. The rest of the house may be a disaster (and often is) but that is the one thing that gets done. I think that may be a flylady routine and if it is, it's a great one. I don't follow the flylady but I picked that one up. A cup of coffee in the morning looking out the window over a clean sink...peaceful.

I wish I could give you a hundred thumbs up. You are so inspiring. Please don't beat yourself up so much. I haven't cleaned behind my fridge since we moved in either and that was eight years ago! I'm afraid of spiders and what might be lurking back there😉. Hot spots are like holes in a leaky boat. As soon as you take care of one, another pops up somewhere else. I have the same problem with pet hair as you do. As soon as I clean/vacuum the floor, it's covered again. Good thing we love our animals so much.

Lol - your pets 'helping' plus doggy 'pre-washing' the dishes for you! They are such sweethearts. Agree with the other ladies comments about needing a better routine. I devised my own a few years ago and it has made such a difference. Having said that, the house still gets in a mess (at this very moment my kitchen is looking as bad as yours was), but overall the routine has definitely made life easier. Regarding the under sink cupboard, I've stopped using it for storage for anything other than the few products that I am currently using in the kitchen. All other cleaning products including kitchen spares are kept in a separate cupboard. This means so much more space - I can see what's in there plus keep all that stuff off the work top. Next to the sink, I just have hand wash and a mini towel rack to hang wet dishcloths. That's it. Most under sink cupboards are just too small to efficiently store very much, so cramming in everything pertaining to cleaning just becomes a mess. Anyway looking forward to watching 'round two' of your fight with the kitchen! That will be me tomorrow too! x

OMG, I was laughing so at the beagle!!!! (I don't know how to say his name). Every time you were near anything that is anyway related to food.......THERE HE WAS!!!! Licking the dishes (I almost fell off my chair laughing), you pulled out the trash.....THERE HE WAS!!! , you cleaned the stove....THERE HE WAS!!!! But that's a beagle for you. I´m so grateful for this video, Sophia. Your videos have helped me so much. I´m exactly the same, I can deep clean for hours but then do nothing for weeks until it has piled up. Sofia, I have to say I love you! You are not afraid to let others see your house messy! I always have some kind of dirt somewhere and I am happy to know I am not alone. Only my house does not sparkle like yours when done. It is always a work in progress. I don't know about you, but we do not have any a/c at all. Just a few puny fans to push the hot air around. I hope you are drinking and taking breaks. I, myself ended up at the Dr.s from not sleeping and the high heat. His advice just go buy an a/c! Nope, not in the budget, I wold rather eat. hopefully some cooler temps will arrive and make us all a bit more comfy. I do not like to complain about heat, as I absolutist hate winter! Take care!

the ACs we have are kind of tiny and they pretty much have to run all day. this year we re saving for the trip to France so that extra $300 will be needed. It s not bad at night, just in the afternoon when one is running around like a maniac in cleaning frenzy mode
