Love that you'll be appreciating your windows and view! We have a great view out our kitchen window, but we're always standing, to look at the birds, etc. Makes me want to figure out a way to incorporate seating somehow. These knees aren't getting any younger, but the older i get, the more i appreciate the birds! Gotta make this work! 👍😅

It looks amazing you did an awesome job 👍🏼 it looks so cozy ♥️ I also agree two stripes of chrome looks on the table looks good because the black showing up in the middle ties it to the chairs 🪑👍🏼 . Your husband is very lucky to have a wife that is very handy and can do anything by herself . That idea of making that little area in your kitchen was a GREAT idea 👍🏼 and I love how it looks 😍

Did you think of putting your hanging baskets under the window that is above the dog crate, that is under the tv because then they won’t be in whomevers way who is setting in the one chair. The baskets will be out of the way and you have more room to scoot your chair around better. I love how it is looking. You are doing an awsome job.

Why not choose one of the colors in the wallpaper for the cushion? I’m afraid black will be too much. And black does show every little spot. And don’t forget to paint the support board under the bench top as you can see it

Great work Sophia - Suggestion - since you can only really fit three people comfortably consider getting rid of the bench (which may become a flat surface clutter collector) and order another chair… you can then push the table in against the chair, and it would maybe be more comfortable if the boys and Scott are the ones eating there occasionally…
@mygreatchallenge10 ай бұрын

I find it especially sweet BC they've been together for so long! Often times spouses sorta just go into a co-exist relationship esp when kids are getting older so it's fun to see them making choices together and seeing their tastes but also respecting each other. Like, Sophia easily could've said she was doing the laminate top anyway but she didn't BC she respected Scott's input and he really could say "I don't really care just spend your savings on an these changes, not mine." I like that they mutually show that respect AND in this case they also considered Willie being part of the household and the desire to have breakfast together as a family. I also like how they tried the 4th plate for Edward! It may not work for dinner but the 4 of them could easily sit there for a chat over a cool (or hot) drink or a dessert! It would be tight but it would still work! My parents and myself and my brother and my kids who were like 6 and 8 at the time used to make booths work at truck stops for all six of us during sports tournaments for the kids! These places were always packed so having two next to each other each was impossible and we hated to block the aisle on the very busy waitresses so my bro and I sat on one side with one child and my parents with the other and those are awesome memories! Now my kids are grown I know we wouldn't physically be able to squish in like that for a meal but we likely could for drinks!

@@MarisaAndChew Most of us who haven’t been married before but have been married for decades to our one and only spouse,don’t have separate savings accounts. How sad for this generation.
@MarisaAndChew9 ай бұрын
@@lauramitchell6725 Its very sad. I keep getting recommended AITAH on Reddit and so many of them are "my partner and I have been they 7 years and married for 4, AITAH for not wanting their name on the deed to the house we are buying?" I saw one today where the relationship sounded new and it was "my bf and I don't things 50/50 but he eats twice as much than me and sauce moving in with him my grocery bill went up 100 dollars since we split it!" All I ever think is "leave and cleave!" Why do these ppl say "happily married" followed by setting things up to be easier (in their mind) for a divorce? I'm happily single after having escaped DV 19 years ago. I've dated a bit and just never felt respected the way my dad treats my mom! So I don't even look anymore, if it happens it will happen if not I love myself enough to not put myself into abuse! Way back when I was in that relationship though, we had two kids, we had one account and it was joint, both names on a mortgage etc fortunately, we weren't married (I said yes but refused BC I knew divorce would make a clean escape harder). But, even though their was extreme abuse (I'm still on meds for PTSD and I'm on permanent disability for it BC of my flashbacks etc) we still had things set up the way they should be, we both did house stuff, made decisions on purchases and so on. It was just ugly underneath. If I was with someone in a committed relationship I would expect things to be "ours" and I would feel like a purchase like a home not having my name on it was a slap in the face and I would really struggle to feel respected as an equal or as someone who the person plans to keep around. It's absolutely tragic that we live in a disposable world right to the point of it being people! I don't even upgrade my phones as often as some ppl switch live in partners. It's wild to me that so many start life with an escape plan and one foot or the door!
