The decoration of your big tree is a holiday tradition for me. I enjoy it so much and it always turns out so beautiful! I love your idea about the wire and the ribbons. I put wide red ribbon on my tree this year and I fought it all of the way. It looks just fine, but I am doing the wire next year. Sophia, your tree is magnificent! It's absolutely beautiful!! When you showed the first flower I couldn't believe it. I have many of those same flowers that I have collected years ago. This year I used only those flowers and white beaded garland for our tree. Next year I hope to decorate it all in white. Tomorrow I'm going to Hobby Lobby to search for tree decor.

Thank you for the ribbon lesson, I always wondered how that was done too. I thought it was just me LOL . I have no sense of style for décor . I like your tradition. Just an ad on idea: a curtain behind the tree which makes the tree stand out a little more: for example in a dark shiny plum color. A bit of „trasfondo“. We have a total different Christmas tree tradition but I appreciate that you created a 22 year tradition for your family. We buy our Christmas trees now - about a week before Christmas Eve and store it on the balcony or the terrace. We bring the tree in not before 23.December and put on the decorations on the morning of 24. December. The tree 🌲 stays in the living room until Epiphanias in Northern Germany . We would never ever never have a plastic tree or several trees in the house…. Advent decoration is made of fresh green branches the advent wreath . 4 candels for each of the advent Sundays. A sweet tradition from an orphanage of my hometown Hamburg. And of course the advent calendar- if possible selfmade. The smell in the house is wonderful. Different traditions. I likely have Arabian and Persian ancestry as well. Some of my grandparents further up the family tree were from modern day Iran, Iraq, Pakistan and Armenia. There's probably more from other Middle Eastern countries I haven't found, yet. My family on both sides are from all over the world so I'm a mix of pretty much almost everything lol.
