Lots of great stuff! That bathroom vanity was gorgeous! So happy for you. Sadly, crystal and china don't sell on any forum. (I love both and love to tablescape. ) No one wants them today. So you might as well keep your Waterford. Ironically, I have the water goblets called Lenox Monroe which is similar to what you showed except mine have a gold rim. They were my wedding crystal back in 1986. In your Home Goods box for $9.99, I think someone just put the glass or crystal candleholders in that box so you may want to look for a label on the candleholders. The description on the Home Goods box seemed like it was for decorative balls for a dough bowl or bowl of some sort. Good luck. You are doing great!

The Henkel Harris furniture is actually made in Winchester, Virginia, close to where I live. One of my good friends was a master carver for them. They are a high end furniture manufacturer and their pieces are highly sought after, especially in my area. Great find!!!
@tomcat6625 жыл бұрын
Is it considered higher end than Suter furniture? Do you know if Suter is still sought after?
@MsMopar695 жыл бұрын
Suter is also high quality. I think it is better known in the Harrisonburg, VA or Richmond, VA where it is manufactured. Both Henkel Harris and Suter are great finds.

@@MsMopar69 Thanks for your reply. My parents have lots of Suter. I no longer live in the region, so I don't know what is popular. The antique dealer was only interested in some pembroke tables.

Sophia I would keep your Family crystal and sell your street finds. It hurt to sell the crystal so keep it and sell your finds!! I think it does not sell because people do not want to hand wash, they just want to put it in the dishwasher and go. I, like you, love to to hand wash my things/my ancestors things. I think about them drinking and eating from these items that have been left to me and I feel it brings me closer to them. You are doing well Sophia. Good Luck!!

I agree! I have a cast iron pot that my mother in law used to make all of our family meals and holiday meals for some thirty plus years. She asked me what I wanted before she died. I have such fond memories of the food and good times. I cook with it a lot and always feel like she is with me in spirit. Peace to you my friend.

Excellent finds! Can’t believe what people are tossing out these days. We don’t have anything that good around here. Most of it is junk. We are in a similar situation and so I’ve begun cleaning out the barn and listing things on 5 Miles. Problem is we live so far out - I have to compromise and meet people that want to purchase. You really have found some good pieces. I am super proud of your focus and strength to be able to resist temptation to keep an item. I am afraid I won’t be that strong. Keep it up Sophia... y’all are going to do great.

There is an issue with cystal because it contains lead, a known carcinogen, which can leach into the drink over time, particularly wine and liquor, which are acidic. Children are particularly vulnerable. Also, the lead count varies and can be very high. I have a collection, too, and it sits in boxes because of my current health condition.

I'm one of those people who would rather just put stuff on the curb than to mess with trying to sell it. Everything I put on the curb is gone the next day...no joke! I've put desks, tables, chairs, a bedroom set and more and the next day they are all gone! Where we live, we have to pay for bulk pickup....so...it's cheaper just to set it on the curb. Great finds Sophia.

Did you know that you can schedule your USPS packages for pickup during your regular mail delivery? It's free. Go online and schedule pick up the evening before and specify how many packages and where they will be located, such as front porch, back porch, ect. This saves so much time when you are selling on eBay! Great finds this week.

It's giving you great content for your channel, making you good money, AND keeping things out of a landfill at least for a little while longer. well, I got rid of my lead crystal too since I’m not using anything containing lead to actually touch food and I don’t want things that are just sitting in my cabinets collecting dust. maybe that is the reason why you’re having a hard time selling yours.

I do believe that lead crystal is not dangerous.
@dorisw55585 жыл бұрын
Marisa Watson it depends. you shouldn’t use pitchers etc that has alcohol sitting in it for a long time. Decades ago they had studies that showed that lead leeches into the liquid. it probably doesn’t do that with short term use. also, the crystal was a gift to me at 14 for confirmation. It was never something I would have bought for myself and I never liked it

@mygreatchallenge5 жыл бұрын
Do you have a value for those. I don t know anything about skis.
@tracegates88415 жыл бұрын
@@mygreatchallengeOlder straight skis such as those probably wont go for much to someone who loves to ski as the engineering styles have changed much to shorter, wider curved skis with safer bindings. These you have would be marketed toward the pal of the skier who has no equipment (ie cheap pickings) because they would then have to buy boots which are always more expensive. You MIGHT get $20. I Hope for your sake more, but if you don't sell them, don't feel bad about donating them. Please prove me wrong & get more. :)
