Most of the episode from Inside the Actors Studio that aired on September 28, 2010 (Some parts cut out for copyright. Sorry about the abrupt ending). As many of you know, Betty passed today on New Years' Eve 2021, just 17 days shy of her 100th birthday. She was a pioneer in show business and a great lady in general. Toward the end of the episode, when asked what God will say to her upon entering the pearly gates, she replies, "Come on in, Betty. Here's Allen." I hope she got to see him again.

Betty White is and was pure joy. And wow, she was sharp! Here was a woman who worked practically her whole life, enjoyed what she did, and it beautifully. She was an icon, and a damn good one. The audience was all smiles. Hard to imagine anyone else being so loved and appreciated as Betty. Young, old, whatever, she charmed us all. She lived a full, admirable, lovely life and at 99 we still would have thought it wasn't enough. But she did need to go to heaven and see her Allen, so I am happy if she does. I have loved Betty White since I was little. When she died on New Year's Eve, however, I did not cry. I have not cried since. She lived her life as fully and richly as she possibly could, and she was so grateful for all of it. Not to mention the fact that her indelible characters are immortalized on film. Her death was a completion, not a tragedy. I am so grateful that I was able to share this planet with her for 29 years. Now her legacy of kindness lives on.

I’ve only taken more of a notice to BW since her death (sadly), and I’ve found that I absolutely ADORE HER. I found such a missed opportunity that I could have had all these years. RIP Mrs. White. I remember watching the Golden Girls with my mother as a child and the character of Rose was always my favorite. My mother passed away a little over a year ago and with Betty gone I feel a part of my childhood is gone, but I will always have the reruns to bring a smile back to my face.

I remember watching her on MTM Saturday nights as a babysitter in my neighborhood growing up and now as an adult having loved her on HIC and with my grandparents in GG. Shared her with my children, my nieces and nephews, and this new generation, and now sadly she has left this planet. The end made me cry, I truly hope she met Alan at the pearly gates and he greeted her there. She is the one thing every day that helps so many with personal tragedy to have moment of lightness to get through our day. Cheers to you Betty White, you were a true humanitarian, above all else. You may be gone, but you will never be forgotten.
