It's a big struggle for alot of people this year. This year my husband lost his job right near christmas so we can't do christmas this year for our kids but they understand luckily but it's still hard. What you guys have done is amazing

Hi guys, I #livelaughlove the pod. I just wanna say you too are my favourite everything.Ye are my parents that never divorced😂. Ye came second on my Spotify wrapped which angered me cause I listen more on KZbin as I love watched both your facial reactions. I always laugh when the same topics come up that we have already heard in other episodes. This week was a hard week as I have been so busy,but I just thought of you too,and how busy you are. Running two businesses,raising 5 girls,the podcast, both KZbin channels,running the house,Christmas coming up and Ofc Sarah minding Joel,it really made me see how much you do and how much I appreciate both of you for it. It gave me motivation to do the tasks I needed to do as I quite am like Joel with not getting stuff done. The whole list didn’t get finished but the stuff that did was thanks to you. I love you both so much and I’ve actually met Sarah in dublin when grace was on plt tour. I got a small gift each for everyone in the family so hope you all liked them. I am grateful for you everyday and obviously will behind the screen too😂🎉

I don’t know about anyone else, but I had only heard you mention the charity event a few days before it was taking place (on your pod). I might’ve just missed your posts on other socials but next year, if you mention it in a few main channel videos a few weeks before as well, I bet there would be a way bigger turn out and people would definitely have time to plan it in. Don’t doubt that people would queue to see you guys and donate, I think people just didn’t know!! ❤️❤️

It’s also a very difficult time of the year for everyone. Cost of living, end of year sales, Christmas time. Stretching yourself to donate can be putting a lot of people out. Not to mention if a lot of their followers are young some might not even have jobs nor money to be donating.

For the Christmas present thing - we set up a family WhatsApp group for just the three of us and add in links to what we would like for Christmas presents. They could be really small things like chocolates and drinks, candles,etc. More medium price things like books and little gadgets. And then a couple of bigger things like clothes, computer games or a TV for example. Then we can use all these ideas for gifts. My husband did get a warning that if he doesn’t put anything on on the GC then he doesn’t get any presents at all!! 😂😂

My parents have recently divorced, meaning that my mum needed me to take over running her small business. Our kids know the truth about the elf, but they still love getting up every morning to see how we’ve set them up. It removed the stress and just made it a lot of fun. We also made a homemade advent calendar and made the elf a new piece of clothing or accessory for each dayso they look forward to opening it every day. Also a helpful hint believe it or not Temu has great elf on the shelf little things to set out.

On the re-gifting element I had a close school friend for YEARS we continued to be friends up until 22, on my 21st she gifted me a plaque that had a lovely poem written about a ‘special friend’, I knew I recognised this plaque but didn’t think anything of it until I realised later on that I had actually brought her it for her 16th birthday, 5 years later she gifted it back to me clearly not remembering!😂

Reminds me of a year i was gifted a gift set that I had given them the year before! It was a beautiful yankee candle set. She said a few weeks later she always regifts presents she doesn't use . I wrapped it up a year later and this has been an ongoing joke for about 5 years now. I was gutted at first but it gives us so many laughs now

Can i just say as someone who works with sen children and who has a disabled sister, it is heart warming when everyone is included. Having special needs shouldnt stop you from having friends. It's about finding something you all have in common, spreading a little love and kindness, and that is something everyone can do . I speak for myself, but I treat the children I support like my own and really support them with friendships, making relationships and independence. It's so important. So don't ever worry a child should never be on their own. ❤ Ps. Well done on the charity event, I'm so sorry we couldn't make it. You are all amazing. Xxx
