@Srd1126 Exactly - that's why I get pissed when people say that Richie and Ralph were the same. Richie was a likeable guy - he got Tony, Jackie and Silvio a pass when they robbed Feech's card game. Ralph was downright crazy, whereas Richie was surprisingly quite reasonable, only resorting to violence when he felt that people were out of line. And, in most of the cases, he was right: Janice was a mean bitch who manipulated people and Beansie probably owed Richie money.

@SlayerDarth Beabsue didn't owe Richie money directly. But Richie put Beansie in action years before. In the mafia the rule is if you bring an associate in, you own a piece of that associate forever, or until you release or are told to release him. Beansie messed up when he wised off to Richie when what he should have said was that he was "under Tony" and asked for a sit-down. As to Janice, hey, you just don't tell a guy it is no big deal if his son is gay. More so to a made guy.

@Srd1126 I guess. My point is, that Richie is nothing like Ralph. The latter person was randomly dangerous. Richie was quite reasonable and down to earth, and only used violence when people had wronged him. It's one of those situations in the Mafia where people believe that because a gangster was incarcerated and has been realised, that they don't know how things work, the game has changed for them etc., and so as a result do not feel the need to repay them. Richie was somewhat more sociable.

@SlayerDarth I think the thing with Ralphie was that he was just more immature. And Ralphie was a known cokehead, Richie was neither. Both would be in the Paul Castellano-wing of the mob as both were more racketteers than thieves. I would agree than Ralphie would be more likely to kill you over some nonsense thing whereas Richie it would be over money.
