Sirico would travel with Jim on Documentaries about combat vets and deployed soldiers.. they shared MANY close and intimate, even DANGEROUS moments together. So yes, he was a dear friend of Jim’s and vice-versa.

I'm from England I worked at Tesco's warehouse they sent me to Peterborough to do my training I was on the night shift and I met a bloke that's turned out to be my very good mate and one day on our training we were talking about sopranos and how amazing it was and this was before box sets started coming out left right and centre before gandolfini and the sopranos paved the way for the rest of em and even told me about true romance and how good he was in that. Then I woke up the next morning and he was dead I shed a tear then my mate woke up and i told my mate and he didn't believe me then he see the news and did the same as I did shed a tear. Like I said on the other video the old generation says they remember were they was when JFK died Il never forget where I was when he died greatest actor of all time standard

James Gandolfini was a great actor who gave us so much and had so much more to give! Everyone who acted with him had nothing but praise towards him about not only his acting abilities, that were evident, but him as man, friend, and patriot. A patriot who gave of himself supporting and honoring our military personnel, especially the wounded veterans! His early death was so tragic! R.I.P. We miss you!
