Imagine just chilling at home on your day off, chasing the dragon only to have your uncle call you up to chop up a body. Talk about a buzzkill 😂
@martynasvolungevicius66113 жыл бұрын
Exactly, except for the fact, that it's never a day off for you in that life. Well, maybe if you're on vacation and it's prearranged with the managment in advance. Other than that, forget about it. You must be on alert on every god damn second of your life. Chilling, fucking, sleeping... You must drop everything and go wherever you are told. And it's not like you've been called to some random factory or office to replace someone. In most cases it's some fucked up shit you have to take care after that call. During this kind of career, you completely sell your soul to the devil and become complete piece of shit. Not to mention, the posibility of ending up in prison or getting killed any second. You pretend that there's no piano hanging over your head, that could drop on you any second, like Carmela once told Tony. Just really not worth it...

I've never seen someone acting high so convincingly. Like honestly the actor could have actually been high. Usually when people act drunk or high it's so obvious they're acting. But goddamn he does it so well in this scene. Like an actually fucked up person who's trying to hide it.
@MarkGerardBottomLine3 жыл бұрын
He probably did get high.
@TeddyOG2 жыл бұрын
Reminds me of Bunk and McNulty on the Wire getting drunk, they do a great job of that inebriated level that's uncomfortable to be around. But yeah Chris is an expert at high functioning high guy
@aprilm18662 жыл бұрын
All of his high scenes are like this, he's so good

Especially with the little nuances like the very very minor slurring of the words that only somebody who has experience dealing with an opioid addict would hear.
@tomservo53472 жыл бұрын
@@MarkGerardBottomLine I wouldn't be surprised if he took some painkillers or even smack. These actors have access to any vice readily. It's like Gandolfini punching things before filming a scene of Tony raging.

2:16 When Tony takes his cigarette And Chris’ sluggish movement is so perfect even his facial expressions for anyone who’s seen someone with heroin or opioid addiction knows that face all too well even just his head turning slowly is so good like his brain needed time to process Tony taking that cigarette Imperioli did a stellar job in this scene

In my opinion, either Michael Imperioli IS actually high or he did personal research into the character at some point, and was able to go back there when they shot this scene. Either way, it’s a beautiful performance, the man is brilliant.
