Excellent matches with Sora! I'm surprised there was no Sora ditto match as I always see Sora players online. 3:09 This is actually sound advice. Frustration in Smash (or any game for that matter) can definitely lead to making poor decisions and just really unravels your focus. Keep cool, take a break, come back and WIN! I treat 1v1 Smash like a boss battle in any game. Pick apart your opponents strategy, capitalize on opponent mistakes, don't be too aggressive, try to read your opponent's next move and then go in for the punish!

This might be a dumb question but I’ve only played very casually since Smash 64…how can you tell if they’re not using DI? What about when they ARE using it?
@Sillintor2 жыл бұрын
A good (but not always true indicator) are the red sparks when hitting your opponent. The sparks indicate death%, however you can often survive with good DI when the % are not too high. The same applies to the opposite. If you don't see any red sparks, but your opponent lost a stock for it, they usually DI'd incorrectly. During combos you can also see how far they are drifting back or towards you, but I think this is more of an experience thing.
@SpunkyDunk2 жыл бұрын
@@Sillintor Wow, I always thought the red sparks were just for show and just didn’t mean a kill sometimes, but yeah that’s a good indicator. It’s weird because I want to learn a lot about competitive Smash but I have no desire to get better. I’ve always known DI is pretty crucial but never even knew if I was even doing it right. I also main Little Mac so you can imagine the struggle if I tried to enter tournaments. He’s just such a cool character to me from one of my favorite games, it’s a shame he’s not very viable. Who do you think would be a great, easy character to pick up as a secondary? And thanks!

What means DI? 🤔
@Sillintor2 жыл бұрын
Directional Influence: It's a technique in Smash that allows you to slightly alter your trajectory with your control stick after getting launched It's used to survive longer and to get out of combos, however with bad DI the exact opposite can happen as well (being in more dangerous/longer combos, losing a stock earlier)

@@Sillintor Huh? People like me who are subscribed to you for months? Just because I said something you didn't like you insult me over a game. I have played every smash game, dont use my language as a reason to avoid playing a great game
@Sillintor2 жыл бұрын
@@laughinghyena888 It's pretty simple. You can just ask nicely if I could play a certain game without trashing on somebody elses game. No game is superior and everybody enjoys a different game as a hobby. And you basically insulted other people's hobby for no reason calling it a dead game. It's as if a pianist would trash on a guitarist and say they should rather play the piano, because guitars are dead anyway. This just looks very elitist to me. That being said, I've already tried out multiversus live on my Twitch channel. It is a fun game to play around, but It's not a game I want to get better at and don't plan to make any videos on it
@laughinghyena8882 жыл бұрын
@@Sillintor well said. Respectful response and I'll keep that in mind. I didn't feel like expressing the idea that a game is dead could be elitist at the time of writing. Since I have played Smash Ultimate for years and noticed a considerable decline in interest in the game compared to Multiversus. I still think you should play it more, if not video form I'll watch your stream on twitch
