Ok, i'm being 100% serious with this one. Nomura will canonize this as part of Sora's journey through unreality. there will 100% be a reference to him being ''In a smashing fight'' for the next game.

Yeah. When all the rumors of the final fighter being Sora my thoughts were "While it would make sense from where the story of Kingdom Hearts is at right now, there's no way Disney would agree to it" So I'll be disappointed if this won't be canon in some way.

@@sinom but Sora isn't Disney. Square Enix has the right to use Disney characters and worlds, but that doesn't mean it works the same backwards. Disney doesn't have any holds on Sora, so as long as they didn't include any Disney related things, I'm pretty sure they only had to go through Square Enix to get this done.

@@therussbuss5314 Kingdom Hearts and all of the characters in it, including all the original characters like Sora etc. are owned by Disney. Disney owns 100% of it. Officially Square Enix is only the developer for the games and doesn't really own any of the IP.

If I can wear a tin foil hat, maybe the Cloud versions are easier to do than a full on port so they didn't have to pull people away from other KH related projects. Keep in mind I know NOTHING about the porting process and if they do it inhouse or not.
